Bees and Trees!
Awesome work created by the pupils and young people at Oxfordshire Hospital Schools.

Based on the veteran trees and rare species of honey bee found at....
Artworks will be on display in the Stables Cafe during the summer holidays ( I will post dates later 😉).

The young people were so focused on creating their artworks, they embraced the process and were totally 'in the zone'.

The Brilliant is celebrating 100 years of helping local kids get outdoors and get wild and messy. My kids have both benefited from residencies here. They had their annual Ffennell festival today, bit damp, but that didn't put anyone off!

Top tip: you can still make sun prints when it's grey and pelting down, just protect your prints under a sheet of plastic.

Check out their web site for other events throughout the year. https://hill-end.org/news/bushcraft-saturday/

We also had live music and the side to keep us entertained

I finally remembered to get a picture of me at our exhibition! I'm standing in front of my new long scrolls inspired by neolithic rock art and walking the Ridgeway.

The final image is me in my son's Yayoi Kusama installation at school!

This is Day #1 of our Ridgeway walk for charity, and we made it!
We'll be walking the National Trail for two good causes: The Brain Tumor Charity and the Amber Phillpott Trust.
If you feel like donating a couple of quid to help us achieve our targets, it would be much appreciated. For reference, we are both 'mature' women, passionate about the great outdoors and snacks in equal measure. No, we are not walking it all at once, it's nearly 87 miles long, but we will be doing our best. Today we walked the Overton Hill to Osbourne St. George leg, that's 9 miles. A fair effort!

Another long one! See its partner at The Swire Ridgeway Arts Prize this weekend, I'm exhibiting as me: Emma Williams.
This piece is inspired by neolithic carved stones. The lovely dark blue is courtesy of indigo pigment.

It was a relatively short term, but we still packed a lot in! Now it's time to get ready for Artweeks and eat some Hot Cross buns!

WIP, inspired by the Ridgeway National Trail which I hope to be walking this year with a good friend 🙏🏼. This piece will be heading to the Swire Ridgeway exhibition in April once it's finished...

Shadows created by natural indigo pigment. Lovely to work with as it has a really deep, dull-blue, velvety effect 😍
