Congratulations to Mody on winning the Top Student Representative Award at this year’s Student Awards!
What made the moment especially meaningful was hearing him dedicate the award to one of his lecturers, our very own Dr Julie Jones. He dedicated it to Julie in recognition of the support she had provided throughout his journey.
Seeing students grow, succeed, and achieve recognition like this is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.
Llongyfarchiadau i Mody am ennill Gwobr Cynrychiolydd Myfyriwr Gorau yng Ngwobrau Myfyrwyr eleni!Yr hyn a wnaeth y foment yn arbennig o ystyrlon oedd clywed ef yn neilltuo’r wobr i un o’i ddarlithwyr, ein Dr Julie Jones ein hun.
Neilltuedd hi i Julie er cydnabyddiaeth o’r gefnogaeth y mae hi wedi’i darparu drwyddo gydol ei daith.
Gweld myfyrwyr yn tyfu, yn llwyddo, ac yn cael cydnabyddiaeth fel hyn yw un o’r rhannau mwyaf gwerth chweil o’n gwaith.

We would like to congratulate Florence on earning the Gold Aber Award, recognising her commitment to volunteering and student engagement through more than 120 hours of service.
What makes this achievement particularly impressive is that all of Florence’s recorded hours came through her dedication to university-based activities.
Florence has made a significant contribution as a Year 2 Marketing Student Representative, a member of the Senedd, and Treasurer of the Tarannau Cheerleaders, demonstrating exceptional commitment to supporting both her fellow students and the wider university community.
Reflecting on her experience, Florence encourages other students to embrace new opportunities:
“Go out of your comfort zone and make friends with lots of people, even if they are in a different year or studying a different course to you.”
Hoffem longyfarch Florence am ennill Gwobr Aur Aber, yn cydnabod ei hymrwymiad i wirfoddoli a chyfranogi myfyrwyr drwy fwy na 120 awr o wasanaeth. Yr hyn sy'n gwneud y cyflawniad hwn yn arbennig o drawiadol yw bod yr holl oriau a gofnodwyd gan Florence wedi dod o'r gweithgareddau yn seiliedig ar y brifysgol.
Mae Florence wedi gwneud cyfraniad sylweddol fel Cynrychiolydd Myfyrwyr Marchnata Blwyddyn 2, yn aelod o'r Senedd, ac yn Trysorydd y Tarannau Cheerleaders, gan ddangos ymrwymiad eithriadol i gefnogi ei chyd-fyfyrwyr a chyda'r gymuned brifysgol ehangach. Wrth adlewyrchu ar ei phrofiad, mae
Florence yn annog myfyrwyr eraill i dderbyn cyfleoedd newydd: "Ewch allan o'ch parth cysur a gwnewch ffrindiau gyda llawer o bobl, hyd yn oed os ydynt mewn blwyddyn wahanol neu'n astudio cwrs gwahanol i chi."

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the success of one of our students at Aberystwyth Business School, following the recent release of Tilly’s new nautical fantasy novel, Guardian of the Depths.
Balancing the demands of university study alongside writing and publishing a book is an incredible achievement, and it’s fantastic to see our students pursuing their ambitions both inside and outside the classroom.
Released in late April, Guardian of the Depths is available in hardback, paperback, and e-book formats on Amazon and through the author’s website. We’re proud to support and showcase the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students — congratulations to Tilly on turning a lifelong dream into reality!

One of our 2nd year students, Karolina, has successfully started and grown her own crochet business while studying at Aberystwyth University.
Karolina creates a range of handmade crochet items including plushies, accessories, flowers, and clothing, with plans to expand into even more handmade crafts in the future.
“I learnt how to crochet from my grandma and everyone I knew kept telling me to start selling my items, so I did — and I’ve never looked back since.”
Here are some photos of Karolina and examples of her amazing work

Sylw ar Fusnes Myfyrwyr
Mae un o'n myfyrwyr blwyddyn 2, Karolina, wedi llwyddo i gychwyn a thyfu ei busnes crochenwaith ei hun tra'n astudio ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth.
Mae Karolina yn creu amryw o eitemau crochenwaith wedi'u gwneud â llaw gan gynnwys teganau meddal, ategolion, blodau, a dillad, gyda chynlluniau i ehangu i grefftau â llaw mwy yn y dyfodol.
"Dysgais sut i grefftio gan fy nain ac roedd pawb dwi'n eu hadnabod yn parhau i ddweud wrtha i gychwyn gwerthu fy nheclynnau, felly roeddwn i'n gwneud hynny — ac erioed ers hynny dwi heb edrych yn ôl."
