The 125th Anniversary of the Law and Criminology department event hosted in Cardiff on Wednesday the 3rd of June was such an important event for helping bridge the gap between the amazing alumni and current students. The students that were invited to the event were engaged student of the department and university, this invite gave them a foot in the door that may prove hard for others. Which highlights the importance of being engaged and how interacting with us and the law and criminology department can prove to be beneficial for students future careers. The law society met some wonderful people and found out just how impressive the department staffs careers have been. Thank you for the invitation and the wonderful evening (with the free wine) 🫶

Back in March, we organised a Meet the Employers Evening for students to hear from a range of individuals in multiple fields in law and criminology, and to get some advice on applications. Thank you to all who came, our speakers for their time and insight, and to the Department of Law and Criminology - especially Caroline Whitby - for helping make this happen.

Due to a miscommunication, we've had to switch to a buffet menu to keep our original date. On the bright side, ticket prices are now lower. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. If you've already purchased the old tickets, you'll receive an email about refunds. New tickets go on sale this Friday the 8th.

Our final official Tuesday night social this year will be Hunted next week, 7.30pm at the Cambrian with .crim.soc . The rules will be explained on the night, but make sure you’re ready to run.. 🏃‍♂️
