🧶 A cherry picker job with a difference… ❤️

We recently had the pleasure of providing our cherry picker to help with a very special project in Penrhys - giving the statue of Our Lady of Penrhys a beautiful, colourful crocheted cloak. 🌈

Penrhys has been a place of pilgrimage for many years, and Mary’s statue has stood there since 1953.

The idea for the cloak came from Anne Lord, who crocheted many of the squares and lovingly sewed them all together. Anne even took to the cherry picker herself to help dress Mary! 🥰

The meaning behind it is just beautiful…

Mary has “cwtched” the community of Penrhys for many years so now it was time for the community to cwtch her. ❤️

We were simply there to provide the machine to help make it possible, but we loved being part of such a unique and heartwarming job.
