A new free online service, FreeSchoolClothes.com, has launched across Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen to help families save money on the cost of school clothes and other essentials, reduce waste, and protect the environment.

The digital swap shop allows families to list good quality outgrown school clothes within their school community and request items they need for free. The platform is built around school communities and now includes all schools across both boroughs.

ONE LAST RODEO - End of Summer Party🌵 🤠

We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer just yet.. so we’re going out with a BANG! Join us this Thursday 27TH August for our ‘One Last Rodeo’ End of Summer Party at Brynithel Community Centre🤪

🎟️ Free entry - no need to book!
🚌 Free minibus service for children and young people living in Swffryd & Llanhilleth - LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE & MUST BE PRE-BOOKED

Everyone is welcome - children, young people and their families! Under 6’s MUST be accompanied by an adult.

We’ll have lots of themed activities, games, music and plenty of summer fun to help us celebrate an amazing summer together🤠🎶

And that’s not all.. FREE food and drinks will also be available🌮🥤

So dust off your cowboy hats, bring your best party spirit and come along for ONE LAST RODEO before summer comes to an end🌵🎉

For our Open Doors Day, we’ll be celebrating the people and stories that have made the Institute what it is today.

Come along and explore our heritage exhibitions, discover more about our past and share your own memories of this much-loved community landmark.

👩‍🍳 Into The Pot Cooking Workshops 🧑‍🍳

‼️The 6-10 Years session is now fully booked‼️
‼️There are still spaces left for the 11+ Years workshop‼️

Join us for free and interactive cooking sessions! These workshops are a great opportunity for children and young people to learn a a variety of cooking skills and techniques, whilst making something tasty to take home🤩
