🌿🐴 Muddy Puddles Weekly Round-Up 🐢🍂

What a lovely week we’ve had at Muddy Puddles! 💚

We’ve been making the most of the autumn weather and getting out and about exploring our local surroundings. 🍂🌳 There’s been lots of fresh air, exercise and opportunities for the children to discover the world around them.

🐴 A visit to see the ponies
The children loved visiting the ponies and giving them some treats. Lots of gentle hands, curious questions and big smiles! 🥰

🌳 Woodland adventures
We enjoyed a lovely woodland walk, exploring the paths, looking at all the fallen autumn leaves and collecting natural treasures along the way. 🍁🍂 There was plenty of opportunity for running, climbing, balancing and simply enjoying being outdoors.

🪵 Outdoor exploration
We encouraged the children to follow their curiosity, investigate sticks, leaves and everything else nature had to offer. Sometimes the simplest things provide the best adventures! 🌿

🌱 Allotment time
We also spent some time getting stuck into our allotment. The children enjoyed helping with the soil and learning about where our food grows. Little hands, big jobs! 👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾

🐢 Meeting some special animals
The children also had a lovely opportunity to get up close to a tortoise, carefully observing it and talking about how it moves and what it needs to live. 🐢💚

And of course… there has been lots of running, climbing, playing, exploring and having fun together! ❤️

Another busy week of learning through real-life experiences, developing confidence and independence, and enjoying the great outdoors at Muddy Puddles. 🌈

🐾 Meet the Pets – This Week’s Update! 🐾

Our little Muddy Puddles pets have had another busy week! 💚

🐶 Maggie the Sealyham
Maggie has been enjoying lots of attention and cuddles this week. She absolutely loves having the children around and is always happy to say hello! 🐾💕

🐢 Martha the Tortoise
Martha has been busy exploring, munching and generally taking life at her own very relaxed pace! 🥬🐢

🦜 Jack the Conure Parrot
Jack has been keeping us entertained with his cheeky personality, noisy conversations and plenty of curiosity! 🦜💚

🐠 Mervin the Goldfish
Mervin has been swimming happily around his tank and, of course, making sure everyone remembers to say hello at feeding time! 🐠👋

The children love learning how to care for our pets and watching all their different personalities come to life. ❤️

🌿🎨 Another busy week at Muddy Puddles! 🎨🌿

What a fun-filled week we’ve had! We’ve been making the most of the sunshine with lots of exploring, creating, messy play and plenty of opportunities to learn through play. 💕☀️

🌳 Tredegar Park – enjoying the outdoors, getting some fresh air, running, exploring and having lots of fun together.

🎨 Lots and lots of crafts! – from colourful painting and mark-making to creating our own masterpieces. The children have had plenty of opportunities to make choices, experiment with colours and express their creativity.

🫧 Slime making – a wonderfully messy sensory experience! The children loved mixing, stretching, squeezing and exploring the different textures. Lots of language, turn-taking and problem-solving along the way too.

🏺 Clay pot making – little hands got busy shaping, rolling, squashing and decorating clay to create their own pots. A brilliant activity for developing fine motor skills, creativity and concentration.

🎉 And of course… parties! 🥳
There has been plenty of celebrating, dancing, laughter and fun this week too!

It’s lovely seeing the children learning together, helping one another and developing their confidence through these everyday experiences. ❤️

From outdoor adventures to wonderfully messy creations, it’s certainly been another busy week at Muddy Puddles! 🌈

Our Week at Muddy Puddles Childminding 🌿❤️

What a wonderful week we’ve had, full of exploring, creating, learning and making memories together!

We enjoyed a fantastic visit to Blaenavon Ironworks, where the children stepped back in time to discover how people lived and worked many years ago. We talked about the history of our local area, explored the old buildings and asked lots of thoughtful questions. Experiences like these help children develop a sense of belonging and an appreciation of their community and heritage.

Back at the setting, our creativity was in full swing! We painted pebbles and terracotta pots using bright colours and nail varnish, creating unique designs while strengthening fine motor skills, concentration and confidence in expressing ourselves through art.

We’ve also made the most of the sunshine with plenty of walks, park adventures and picnics. Outdoor play gives children endless opportunities to explore, take managed risks, build friendships and develop their physical skills, all while enjoying the fresh air.

These experiences beautifully support their learning by encouraging children to become:
🌟 Ambitious, capable learners through exploring, questioning and discovering.
🌟 Enterprising, creative contributors through imaginative art and open-ended play.
🌟 Healthy, confident individuals by staying active outdoors and enjoying social mealtimes together.
🌟 Ethical, informed citizens through learning about our local history, caring for nature and respecting the world around us.

🌿 This Week at Muddy Puddles 🌿

What a fantastic week we’ve had making the most of the beautiful weather! ☀️

Our adventures have taken us far and wide, with a wonderful visit to Raglan castle where we explored the ancient ruins, imagined life long ago and enjoyed plenty of walking and discovering together. 🏰

We’ve also visited several local parks, climbing, running, swinging and making new memories with friends. Fresh air, freedom to explore and lots of laughter are always some of our favourite ingredients for a great day. 🌳🛝

Back at Muddy Puddles we’ve continued our Nature Treasures theme by decorating the shells and pebbles we collected on our adventures. The children loved using bright colours and nail varnish brushes to create their own unique keepsakes. 🎨🐚🪨

There have been lots of picnics this week too, giving us the chance to enjoy our meals outdoors, chat with friends and appreciate the lovely summer weather. 🧺🍓

As always, every activity has supported the children’s curiosity, creativity, confidence and independence through play, exploration and shared experiences.

🌞 We’re back! 🌞

After an amazing two weeks exploring beautiful France, recharging our batteries and making lots of wonderful family memories, Muddy Puddles Childminding is officially back open! 🇫🇷💙

We’re looking forward to welcoming all our little adventurers back for another term of fun, laughter, messy play, outdoor exploring and lots of learning through play. 🌿🎨🧸

The holiday may be over, but we can’t wait to hear all about everyone’s own summer adventures and create some new memories together.
