We have had a week of fun and learning.

Our visit to the Glebe garden was full of wonder.
The garden is looking so vibrant.
Last spring the children planted seed potatoes 🥔
This week we harvested potatoes, leeks and carrots.
Jim the gardener asked what we were going to do with the vegetables and the children said, “make soup”
Next week we will make soup and hopefully Jim can join us in nursery to sample our soup🍲
We also observed Jim dig up some baby carrots.
The children experienced, washing the carrots, cutting the carrots and grating the carrots.
All practical life skills 😊

In nursery we have an area where the children can freely access flowers for arranging into a vase. 🌷
They are learning how to use a secateurs and use their pincer grip to pull off some leaves, which helps build up muscles for pre - writing skills. ✏️
The nursery room is full of flowers in vases. (Looking beautiful and smelling nice).

Some of our children have developed onto learning about (shades of colours).
Children can select colour tiles from our sensorial shelf. (Early numeracy skills)

In the nursery garden, we observed the children working together to make an obstacle course using large blocks.
They enjoyed pushing wheel barrows around the course.
Some children were transferring water using pots and pans.

Pre School nursery graduation. 🧑‍🎓
What a fantastic ceremony we had yesterday.
We are so proud, the children sang all their songs beautifully.
We would like to thank Kath for the use of St Margaret’s church, Jo from Aberlour C&D Pipe band for his amazing piping and Laura from Beautiful Balloons & Blooms for the wonderful balloon display.
Thank you to our lovely parents and families for all your support throughout the year.
We wish you all a happy summer holidays.

This morning a couple of children asked to cut some over grown grass in the nursery garden.
We provided the children with real garden tools. This builds vital motor skills, self-confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
We demonstrated how to use the garden shears and Secateurs.
Under supervision they cut some grass and they were both very responsible 😊

The children enjoyed a lovely ‘Teddy Bears’ picnic followed by our Sports event. 🧸
We would like to say a big Thank you to all our parents and family members who took part in a running race and the tug of war. 🏃‍♂️
Lots of fun had by all 😊

What a wonderful end of term trip we’ve had.
The children went to the Cairngorms and experienced a ride on the Mountain Railway.
We had a picnic overlooking some amazing views and finished off our trip by having lots of fun at the adventure playground.

What a fantastic ‘Father’s Day’ activity we had this morning.
Thank you to all the dads and granddads who came along to our Father’s Day event at the Glebe garden.
All the children planted a baby spider plant and will take them home for a Father’s Day gift. 🪴
Then the children took a walk around the garden and showed their dads/grandads the potatoes that they planted earlier in the year. They have grown so much.
We finished off our outing by having lots of fun at the new park. 😊

We had a wonderful visit to the care home this morning.
Firstly the children used brushes and painted with water to create some beautiful pictures.
We celebrated the World Cup by playing ‘Beat the Goalie.’ ⚽️
Inside the care home the children met Lily the therapy dog. 🐶
We finished off our visit by listening and dancing to Moya playing the violin .🎻
Walking back to nursery the children saw some beautiful flowers in gardens 🌷.
Lots of fun had by all 😊.
