A special celebration in the Dram Room 🥃🎂

It was a pleasure to welcome this lovely family from the Toronto area today as part of their celebrations for a 60th birthday.

They had already enjoyed several distillery visits during their time in Scotland, so it was particularly lovely to hear them say that their time with me was the best experience of their trip so far!

Judging by the empty glasses and plates at the end, I think everyone enjoyed themselves! 🥃

Thank you for choosing me to be part of such a special occasion, and a very happy 60th birthday!

Autumn is coming 🍂🥃

As the evenings get darker and the temperatures begin to drop, our choice of dram can sometimes change with the season too.

Perhaps something rich and sherried, a warming smoky malt or an old favourite you find yourself returning to at this time of year.

What a way to end an unforgettable week exploring the last week Hebrides! 🥃🐋

On the final day of the Wh**ky Festival Cruise, returning from Raasay towards Oban, we were lucky to witness at least 8 Minke whales with a good 6 lunge feeding and breaching. In addition, we were joined from time to time by pods of dolphins. A final treat was a golden eagle observing us as it perched on a rock.

Altogether it was a memorable combination of drams and wildlife!

A wonderful end to a very special journey with Hebridean Adventures. Thank you to everyone who helped make the week so memorable.

A beautiful return to Talisker 🥃

It was a treat to see Talisker in its impressive waterfront setting after several recent visits to Skye coincided with their renovations. The Brand Home is very welcoming with the added bonus of live musicians for the Hebridean Wh**ky Festival.

We enjoyed a visit to the distillery followed by a range tasting. I selected the Talisker Port Ruighe to accompany the roast duck Steve, the chef prepared for dinner on the Hjalmar Bjorne.

A fitting end to another memorable day of our Hebridean Adventures wh**ky cruise.

What a day exploring Scotland’s west coast! 🥃⛵

Yesterday began with a fascinating visit to Ardnamurchan Distillery, exploring the production process and enjoying a taste of their wh**ky.

After rounding Ardnamurchan Point, we landed on the Isle of Muck, where blue skies treated us to wonderful views stretching as far as Skye, before later enjoying a walk around the Isle of Eigg.

And there was one final highlight as we made our way towards a sheltered anchorage for the night, spotting several pods of porpoises along the way.

Wh**ky, island landscapes, sunshine and wildlife. A pretty special day on the west coast of Scotland!

A fitting finale to the Hebridean Wh**ky Festival 🥃🎶

Our wh**ky adventure continued to the Isle of Raasay on Saturday for the Finale of the Hebridean Wh**ky Festival hosted by the Hebridean Wh**ky Trail at the Isle of Raasay Distillery.

It was a fun end to the festival, with the opportunity to taste a wide range of drams from participating distilleries, enjoy live music and, for those who wished, tour the distillery itself.

After a fantastic few days visiting distilleries and enjoying some excellent Scotch wh**ky along the way, it was a wonderful way to bring the festival celebrations to a close.

Another stop on our amazing wh**ky cruise 🥃🌊

Yesterday brought a visit to Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye, a distillery I last visited backin 2022.

It was lovely to return, enjoy a few drams and see how things have developed since that last trip. The main change was the opportunity to taste some of the more recent and interesting additions to the Torabhaig range.

Another wonderful stop on our Hebridean Adventures wh**ky cruise and, of course, a chance to enjoy a taste of Skye along the way.

Yesterday in Tobermory ⚓ After spending the night moored in Tobermory Bay, we headed ashore to explore this beautiful corner of the Isle of Mull.

The colourful waterfront is instantly recognisable and there was plenty to see around the harbour, including the impressive Spanish galleon which was moored in the bay during our visit.

Of course, no visit to Tobermory would have been complete without making our way to the distillery too... 🥃
