Ages 6–12

We’ll be celebrating the turning of the season as the meadow comes back to life, blossoms appearing, bluebells beginning to show, and barn owls nesting nearby.

Across the day children will:
🔥 Cook seasonal treats over the fire

🌿 Make nature-inspired Easter and Ostara crafts

🐦 Discover birds, hedgerow plants and spring wildlife

🌸 Explore the meadow as it wakes up after winter

Our sessions are relaxed, creative and rooted in forest school values, giving children time to play, learn, make and connect with nature.

🌿 Willow Plant Support Workshop with Tora Smith

Saturday 14th March 2026 | 10am - 4pm

Join us for a beautiful, hands-on day learning traditional willow weaving with Tora Smith, an experienced willow weaver working with locally grown willow from the Black Mountains.

You’ll create a 5–6ft sturdy, long-lasting willow plant support a striking statement piece for climbing plants like sweet peas.

As well as supporting our forest school with her weaving magic she’s back with a workshop for your practical planting needs. Come weave a 5-6 foot long, sturdy willow support from locally grown willow.

These are wonderful statement pieces in any garden, used for climbing plants such as sweet peas.

Tora Smith, an experienced willow weaver will guide you through the day using traditional weaving techniques.

As Imbolc marks the return of light and new beginnings, we’re starting a new Home-Ed group in the meadow 🌱

For ages 11–15 in Skenfrith, Monmouthshire, led by trained Forest School leaders.

The wonderful Betsy and her wool workshop!

🧶 What a day, all the participants made it through the fog and rain to learn about the wool on a cellular level, to hearing tales of shearing, to making rollags. Practicing drop spindling, spinning on the wheel, using an electrical spindle, plying and making our skeins.

🐑 Sad you missed out, Betsy’s hosting Wool World at Three Pools this weekend, a chance to get more intimate with their sheep and their hair
