Glasgow Aikido Club Our classes are held as follows

Wednesday 8:15pm to 9:45pm
Sunday 6:15pm to 7:45pm It was founded in May 2000 by Sensei William Andrew.

We are members of Aikido UK , which aims to cultivate and develop the co-ordination of mind and body using the principles of Ki. The head instructor of our club is Sensei Richard Firestone (4th Dan) who is assisted by his two instructors James Kennedy 3rd Dan and Ronnie Smith 3rd Dan

We teach Aikido twice a week at the Kevin Hall

Sunday 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Wednesday 8:15pm to 9:45pm

Aikid

o empty hand forms, Bokken, Jo and tanto techniques are all taught. Self defense and how to deal with multiple attackers. We also cover the principles of Ki - with mind and body coordination.

Great to see him and practice with him. I love that he is still practicing still, for over 20 years. My 1st dan grade is still going strong. Love it keep up your training.

We are starting our beginners induction again. We are running our 6 week beginners programme.

It will give you the opportunity to try Aikido no matter what age or physical ability you have Aikido is for everyone.

You will learn:

* Stretching excercies
* Basic Aikido techniques
* Basic Japanese wooden weapons (Sword & Stick)
* Learn the 4 princiiples of Mind & Body Co-Ordination
* Learn how to Meditate

At the end of the programme you will achieve your 6th Kyu red belt.

What a start to the year we had at Milarrochy Bay in Scotland today. Misogi training in the freezing water with Shinrin-yoku through the forrest, with some weapons training followed by Tea, biscuits & Curry. A big thank you to Colin & Sharon for organising.
