Last month we had a fantastic grading and course. All the grades passed with flying colours. A big thank you to all the Dan grades and teachers for getting everyone ready. With a big well done to all the students for the hours of dedication they needed to put in.

Great to be back on the mat after two weeks off. Back to basics is the plan before we head into grading training.

I'd like to wish Derin all the very best with his studies at university in Edinburgh. It has been a pleasure teaching Derin for the last 6 years. He started Aikido at 6 years old in Turkey and moved to Glasgow when he was 12. Moving to a new country and practicing at an adult class couldn't of been easy. Having said that Derin has growing dramatically over the years achieving his black belt in May. He started as a boy and has now grown into a fine young man. Good luck!

Lovely to have a visit and a practice with Greg Sawers who was my first black belt some 17 years ago. He still trains regularly in Australia. Great to catch up and still a great Uke!
