Raising and Giving (RAG) Committee; a collection of students aiming to raise funds for NE Scotland Welcome to the RAG page!
Raising and Giving (RAG) is the major student fundraising group at the University of Aberdeen, having been in operation for 131 years. Every year students across the university work tirelessly to organise events and collections to raise money for local charities across Aberdeen City and Shire. If you have any questions, ideas or would like to work with us, please let us know - we'd love to hear from you!

We’re already underway with fundraising for our new charities! Wonder what prizes will be available for all those celebrating the huge achievement that is graduating!
🎟️🎓 The Grad Ball Charity Raffle is back! We'll be revealing prizes over the next few weeks. Every ticket helps support RAG's charitable activities and fundraising efforts.

🌟Volunteers Week 2026🌟
To round up volunteers week we wanted to highlight the amazing work that our committee and volunteers do. Last year they averaged 150+ hours each, all whilst balancing university degrees.
RAG has been around since 1921 and raised money for charities in Aberdeen and volunteers countless hours to the community we sit within.
We can’t wait to continue volunteering our time for years to come to support students to give back to the community 🫶🏼
