The RGU community is deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Ian Wood, whose influence on both the University and the wider Aberdeen and North East community was profound.

πŸƒ RGU at the Commonwealth Games

Jon's journey at RGU transformed his career, inside and outside of the classroom.

As the No. 1 University in the UK for Physiotherapy, we equipped Jon with the skillset and confidence to make real world impact. After working in elite sport for nearly two decades, he's now π“πžπšπ¦ π’πœπ¨ππ₯𝐚𝐧𝐝'𝐬 π‡πžπšπ 𝐏𝐑𝐲𝐬𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐑𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐒𝐬𝐭 at the Commonwealth Games.

After 10 years as a high school teacher, Tom was ready for a new challenge. Now studying our Online LLB (Law) course, he's balancing full-time work with his studies while living on one of Scotland's Inner Hebrides.

A recent Law School visit to the UK Supreme Court in Glasgow gave Tom a unique opportunity to experience the UK's highest court first-hand and connect with fellow students in person.

"The Online LLB is very well organised, and as materials are available for a semester in advance, it allows me to fit my studies around full-time work."

Tom's journey is a great example of how flexible online learning can open doors, wherever you live.

Read more about his experience and why he chose to study law with RGU. πŸ‘‡https://rgustudentblog.com/2026/07/15/from-the-inner-hebrides-to-the-supreme-court-a-law-students-journey/
