๐Ÿ“‹ What Can Delay Equipment Certification?

Certification projects donโ€™t always face delays because of testing failures. Often, the challenge comes earlier in the process through preparation, documentation and interpretation of requirements.

Incomplete documentation, incorrect equipment labelling, unclear protection requirements or misunderstanding the applicable standards can all introduce unnecessary complexity.

A clear understanding of both the technical and quality assurance requirements can help teams approach the IECEx certification process more effectively and avoid preventable delays.

๐Ÿ“˜ Technical Guidance, Tailored to Your Operations

Industry standards provide the foundation, but every organisation has its own procedures, assets and operational requirements.

EPIT can develop customised editions of the Yellow Book, bringing company-specific procedures together with recognised ATEX and IECEx guidance in one practical reference.

The result is clearer guidance, greater consistency across teams and stronger support for safe, compliant hazardous area operations.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Discover how tailored technical guidance could support your organisation.

๐ŸŽ“ Training alone doesn't equal competence.

Completing a course or gaining a qualification is an important step, but competence in hazardous environments requires far more than just a certificate.

Competence is a combination of:
โœ”๏ธ Knowledge gained through training and education
โœ”๏ธ Skills developed through practical application
โœ”๏ธ Experience built in real-world environments
โœ”๏ธ Ongoing training to keep pace with changing standards
โœ”๏ธ Periodic assessment to evidence competence and maintain compliance

Too often, organisations equate training completion with competence. In reality, regular assessment is essential to demonstrate that individuals can apply their knowledge and skills safely and effectively in line with legislative and industry requirements.

At EPIT, our training and assessment programmes are designed to help individuals and organisations build, demonstrate, and maintain competence in hazardous areas and high risk environments.

๐Ÿ“ฉ Contact EPIT to discuss training and competency assessment solutions for your workforce.

๐Ÿ“š Knowledge is where competence begins. Practical application is where it's developed.

At EPIT, our courses combine structured technical learning with practical, hands-on exercises designed to prepare delegates for real-world hazardous area applications.

From understanding industry standards and equipment requirements to applying that knowledge in realistic workshop environments, our training helps build confidence alongside competence.
