GOOD LUCK
This year marks a new phase for some of our Blackbelts who have been with us since they were 4 years old. As they take the next step to University, we have to say farewell but we hope they continue to visit in the future.
This year we say farewell to
SAM SLANE 1st Degree
Who is joining Aberdeen University and continuing with Rugby which he is heavily involved with. He has been with us since he was 4 years old and has been a great character in the class. He is the second in the Slane family to leave for University (Toby 1st degree left for Glasgow a few years back) with three of the four brothers achieving blackbelt with us. One remains!!! Unfortunately we don't have a photo but will get one.
ALISTAIR CHRISTIE 1st Degree
Who us joining Glasgow University. He has also been with us since he was 4 years old, as has his sister Florence. He managed to commit to training and gaining his 1st Degree along with numerous other activities including music which he has been very involved with. Such great commitment and attitude.
CHRIS IRVINE 2nd Degree
Whi is joining Strathclyde University in Glasgow. He also began at 4 years old and later began assisting in classes both at MWBA and DC TKD in Banchory with his brother Matthew 2nd Degree, who left for University a few years past. He represented Scotland in the National Team a number of times with the highlight - winning World Championship Gold with the Junior Team in Team Patterns in 2024. He will be greatly miss as an assistant instructor by all our students 🥋
We are very proud of them all as they take this all in their stride with confidence. They are all such great characters and have matured into great young men who we will miss after all these years. We are sure you will join us in wishing them them all the best fir the future.
