As part of their post-exam programme, some of our S6 pupils have been participating in a range of valuable sessions designed to prepare them for life beyond school.

From learning about money management and budgeting to discussing how to look after themselves and others while at university, pupils have been developing important life skills for their next chapter. They also had the opportunity to participate in self-defence classes, building confidence and learning practical techniques to help keep themselves safe.

We were excited to catch up with Joe Reid and Katy Howarth, who will be returning to Aberdeen in September for the RGC Gala Dinner. As former Gordonian Student Leaders, Joe and Katy know first-hand the friendships, experiences and sense of community that come from being part of the student leadership journey at Robert Gordon’s College.

They are encouraging as many former Gordonian Student Leaders as possible to come together for this special evening to reconnect, celebrate shared memories, and support the future vision of the College.

In their short video, Joe and Katy share why they are excited to be involved and why they hope others will join them. Whether you were a House Captain, Prefect, Committee Member or part of the wider student leadership community, we would love to see you reconnect with old friends and join us for what promises to be a memorable and inspiring evening.

Book now and be part of a fantastic night with fellow Gordonians.

🎉Celebrating 10 Years at The Craig Centre for Performing Arts! 🎉

We were delighted to welcome members of the wider Gordons community, past and present, to the Craig Centre for Performing Arts as we celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on a decade of creativity, performance and achievements, while bringing together those who have played a part in the Centre's success over the years. We were especially pleased to welcome Douglas Craig, whose generosity and support helped make the Craig Centre a reality.

Here's to another ten years of giving our pupils a truly inspiring place to perform, rehearse and grow.

This session, we mark 100 years since the opening of the Kindergarten for boys aged 5-7 at Robert Gordon’s College. To celebrate this remarkable milestone, some of our Nursery and Junior School children took part in a fun-filled day of centenary birthday festivities.

Throughout the day, the pupils explored the rich history of the College, visiting an original classroom in the West Wing and hearing from the College Archivists, as well as enjoying traditional playground games, dancing to 1920s music and contributing letters and keepsakes to a time capsule for 2126.

The day was made even more memorable by an optional dress-up day inspired by the theme of “100”, with pupils showcasing an array of imaginative costumes including historical figures and period-inspired outfits, as well as creative costumes decorated with 100 stickers.

The support of a bursary reaches far beyond the classroom.

For Lauren Yule, Class of '22, receiving a Robert Gordon’s College bursary transformed her educational journey, helping her grow in confidence and embrace new opportunities.

Following her time at RGC, Lauren has recently completed a year in Norway as part of her Law degree at the University of Aberdeen. As Lauren shares, "Coming to Robert Gordon’s College gave me the confidence to challenge myself and try new things and without a bursary that experience would not have been possible for me."

Creative Minds Festival 2026 creates a buzz around the college 15/06/2026

✨ Creative Minds Festival 2026 returned to the College in spectacular fashion on Friday 5th June, bringing inspiration, creativity and ambition to pupils across the school.

Held every two years and taking place in the Summer Term for the first time, this year's festival welcomed 11 former pupils from across the UK. Together, they travelled more than 3,500 miles to share their experiences, insights and expertise through an exciting programme of panel discussions, assemblies and workshops.

The festival created a real buzz around the College, giving pupils the opportunity to hear first-hand from alumni working across a diverse range of creative industries and career paths.

A huge thank you to all our guest speakers and the RGC Parents Association for making the day such a memorable and inspiring experience.

With a Knicks win and the World Cup descending on NYC, the energy has been electric for our S5 pupils.

Broadway was at its best this week as they were dazzled by the new show Death Becomes Her, as well as Broadway’s longest-running show, Chicago.

From Manhattan’s Central Park to Brooklyn’s Coney Island, pupils have explored many different neighbourhoods and gained confidence navigating the subway.
