Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have been very busy this week showing a keen interest in spring animals this week, the children have been feeding the animals by using spoons to scoop the cereal into their mouths. This has helped the children develop their fine motor skills๐ ๐ ๐ฎ ๐ด. We have also been developing our gross motor skills by using different resources to catch the flys.
We have been getting in the mood for spring by planting some different types of seeds to grow our own flowers ๐บ this allows the children to develop awareness of the world around them and taking care of living things โค๏ธ.
Our older children took part in a bookbug session in the local woods, where we read we are going on a bear hunt and we found a bear ๐ป hiding in the trees ๐ ๐ณ. We have also been developing our numeracy and gross motor skills by throwing balls into our flower tyres which relates to our spring learning experiences. We have also been taking part in group discussions about what spring animal we would like to be, as well as taking a keen interest in finding a ladybird ๐ in our garden and looking after them, we took a keen interest in how many spots we could find on their body.

๐ธ Motherโs Day Stay & Play ๐ธ
We had such a lovely time at our Motherโs Day Stay & Play session! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate together. ๐
The children had so much fun making bracelets, creating and decorating delicious truffles, and enjoying our Bookbug session. We also had lots of pampering at the 'hairdressers', explored the sensory tuff tray, and made the most of the outdoors with free play in the garden. ๐ฟ
It was wonderful to see so many special moments shared between the children and their mums. Thank you for making it such a warm and joyful session! ๐

Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have been exploring Aldi using a shopping list to tick off what they bought ๐. This helped them develop awareness of their local community. They have also enjoyed taking part in our weekly booking sessions ๐ this helps develop childrenโs literacy development, developing confidence in groups and being expressive through stories and songs music ๐ต We have also been developing our creative skills by using glue and flowers ๐บ to make lovely pictures. We have also been keen to make our own binoculars to see what we can find in the garden ๐ Our sensory garden has been a big interest this week the children have enjoyed the music area developing awareness of sound and being expressive ๐ฅ and developing their sensory awareness on on sensory path.
Our older children have been taking part in baking session to make some yummy treats ๐ for our lovely mummies โค๏ธ By taking part in this learning experience allowed the children to develop an understanding of weighing and measuring and their overall numerical development ๐ง As part of our senses topic some of the children have shown an interest in using a senses checklist outside to see how many senses they can use โ๏ธ Some of the children have also loved the recent rainfall today using our mud area to jump in some very muddy puddles ๐ฆ By using different loose parts the children have learnt to develop their awareness of risk as well as their gross motor skills. The children also worked very well to develop their problem solving skills by working together to make some nature play dough which was lots of fun. ๐คฉ

Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have been enjoying our sensory garden in particular having fun in our cosy shed, Our cosy shed has a fun chair swing, we like to use this space to read stories, sing songs using a range of instruments and using puppets, this helps develop our creative skills. ๐ต ๐
We have started to plant different seeds learning about the cycle of a flower we canโt wait to see them bloom ๐บ Some of the children have been exploring the local community and whilst they have been out for a walk they have used checklists to see what types of transport they can spot ๐
Our older children have been interested in exploring their senses we have done a taste test session some of us really enjoyed some of the unusual tastes ๐ We have been developing our independence skills and being responsible by allowing the children to be meal time helpers, they have the responsibility of preparing snacks and help set up the tables ๐ด We have also taken an interest in making some gruffalo playdough outside this helped develop our team working, fine motor, awareness of volume and measurement and our creativity skills ๐

The whole nursery have been celebrating world book day all week by dressing up as our favourite characters and reading our favourite stories ๐

Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have been exploring the local area by taking part in a walk to the gramps to see the frogs ๐ธ We have been also using our sensory garden to create our own hedgehogs ๐ฆ using playdough and loose parts to get creative.
We have also been developing our turn taking, fine motor and imagination skills by using a range of construction materials. Some of the children have also taken a keen interest in interest in developing their fine motor skills further by moving different transport vehicles in different patterns.
Our older children have been developing their fine cutting skills by cutting up magazines this has helped develop awareness of using scissors safely. The children have also been showing an interest in the body and have enjoyed taking part in a game to match up body features to their faces. We have also been having group discussions in regards to our family this has helped develop the childrenโs confidence speaking in groups โค๏ธ
All of the children have taken part in a baking session this week making yummy focaccia all of the children got the opportunity to knead the dough, measure the ingredients and create their own portion to take home to enjoy ๐

Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have taken a keen interest in animals this week using the shaving foam and paint to mark make and develop their expressive skills ๐จ we have also experienced using different materials to make our own love themed collages โค๏ธ Using paint brushes we have allowed the children opportunities to develop their fine motor skills to mark make in the shaving foam and glitter and we have also been really keen to read the colour monster story to help develop our understanding of emotions. ๐
Our older children have been developing their knowledge on body parts ๐ฆด as well as developing their independence with self serving and as well as developing our numeracy, turn taking and fine motor skills. This week we have had lots of celebrations with pancake day discussing what our favourite toppings are ๐ฅ and also having some yummy taste test sessions for Chinese New Year ๐จ๐ณ ๐

Look what we have been up too this week ๐
Our younger children have been getting very creative outside using shaving foam and paint to create their masterpieces ๐จ We have also been learning about shadows using our dinosaurs which has been lots of fun ๐ฆ and developing our awareness of animals further by playing games like snap this helps develop our memory and turn taking skills.
Our older children have been very busy this week, we have been for walks to the gramps to find the biggest puddle to splash in ๐ฆ our younger friends also joined us for the walk .โค๏ธ We have taken an interest in measuring our height as part of our all about me learning experiences ๐
The nursery has also begun learning about Chinese New Year by making our own dragon. ๐ We canโt wait to learn more Chinese facts over the next few weeks.
We have also been making love potions and developing our awareness of the emotion love as it gets nearer to Valentines Day โค๏ธ

Look what we have been up too this week โฆ.
Our younger children have been keen to take part in another spa experience developing their sensory awareness as well as experiencing the textures of rice. We have also taken a keen interest in helping the animals escape the sand trap, by taking part in this experience has helped the children develop their fine motor skills and also team work. ๐
๐ ๐ We have also been geting creative by using different prints to make our own artwork. ๐จ
Our older children have been celebrating our friends birthday by having a party which was lots of fun ๐ ๐ฅณ and developing our confidence with hosting group time โค๏ธ We have also had lots of fun embracing the weather recently โ๏ธ by taking part in our own outdoor checklists developing responsibility ๐

โ๏ธ Festive Fun at Nursery! โ๏ธ
The children have been loving the recent snowfall โ perfect for getting outside and building their very own snowmen! โ๏ธ After warming up indoors, they continued the fun by recreating snowmen with playdough, supporting their fine motor skills, creativity, and imaginative play.
Some children let their imaginations run wild and crafted all sorts of wonderful creations, including adorable playdough hedgehogs ๐ฆ
Others embraced the season by making gingerbread men, adding cinnamon for an extra festive touch ๐ค
Our younger learners also joined in the festivities, using those important fine motor skills to unwrap pretend presents and using the colourful wrapping paper for collage work โ lots of gluing, sticking, and sensory fun!
A magical mix of creativity, exploration, and festive cheer! โจ๐
