What an incredible week for our 7 Junior pupils at the Scottish Adventure School in Crieff!

From white-water rafting and canoeing to high ropes, gorge walking and rock climbing, the girls embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, resilience and determination. Along the way, they developed confidence, independence and teamwork while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We are so proud of how they represented themselves, their families and St Margaret's – even tackling a 9.5km walk in the pouring rain with smiles on their faces!

Last weekend Arabella (IIIS), was excited to win her first cap for Scotland. She was part of the Emerging Talent Scottish Hockey team playing in the Ulster Series in Glasgow. Arabella started in all three matches and assisted in two of the goals for Scotland. They had a loss, then a win and then a draw to finish so were happy overall with their results. A fantastic achievement, Arabella, everyone at St Margaret’s is incredibly proud of you!

The Nursery children were delighted to present their Summer Show to their parents last week. The children showcased their amazing artwork as a backdrop for their performance.

With singing, actions, speaking parts and clapping rhythms along to the Radetzky March it was an afternoon of fun and learning for all.

This was a lovely opportunity for the children to share some of what they have learned in their music lessons with Mrs Magill this session.

Having some visitors from Rubislaw Park Care Home made the event even more special. 🎵✨

"In IIS Physics, we have been learning about the application of forces. We applied our knowledge to designing and building different types of bridges, including beam, arch, suspension and cable-stay bridges. It was a great opportunity to be creative while thinking like engineers." – Penny, IIS

Our IIS Physics pupils have been putting their learning into practice by exploring how forces influence bridge design. After studying different bridge structures and the role of tension in cables, the girls completed the project by constructing their own suspension or cable-stay bridges using lolly sticks and string.

A fantastic example of creativity, problem-solving and engineering in action!

Today, our Junior 6 pupils brought their French learning to life with their very own French Café experience!

As part of their unit on food and drink, the girls designed their own cartes (menus), practised their conversational French, and took turns playing the roles of both customer and waitress. From ordering food to serving guests, they confidently used their language skills in a fun and authentic setting. Félicitations, 6J
