It’s National Marine Week! 🌊

Adam, one of our team members here at ASC, has treated us to some interesting facts about his favourite marine animal… the lobster!

1️⃣ Lobsters never stop growing - so the older it is, the bigger it is. You can age them by counting the number of rings in their eyestalks much like you would with a tree.

2️⃣Lobsters can regenerate limbs! If they lose a claw/leg/antenna it will grow back. They can also detach limbs at will to escape predators.

3️⃣Lobsters breathe through their feet and p*e out their eyes.

What's your favourite marine animal? 🦞 😍

To celebrate IET Day, we are running our free online ‘Super Solvers’ Virtual Escape Room TODAY! Visit our website to start playing! https://aberdeensciencecentre.org/events/escaperoom-engineeringday/

The code to reboot our robot, Robothespian, has been lost and the only way to have Robothespian up and running by the time the Science Centre opens is to solve puzzles and answer questions to reveal pieces of the code.

As players virtually explore Aberdeen Science Centre, they will need to use the same skills as those who work in engineering and technology use every day. Lets test your problem solving, pressure management, communication and team work skills.

Good luck. 👍
