End of an era
Today, we held our last ever Donview Nursery Christmas singalong at Stewart Park.
The last twelve years have been a real journey for our family. Donview Nursery has played a huge part in our family’s way of life, for as long as my children can remember, and it is for them that we made this decision. The last three years have been incredibly hard for many of us, especially our children and young people. Donview Nursery consumed much of my time when my own children were very little and I would like to invest my time with them now – as teenagers, it often seems they need me even more now. So, for the sake of my own family, it is now the right time.
The new owner, Caroline, is a successful and experienced nursery owner, having worked in childcare for many years, training in NNEB (the gold standard for childcare training and a qualification that owners and managers would love to be brought back!) and the Montessori Method. I truly believe that Caroline has what it takes to embrace Donview Nursery and move it forward.
I would like to thank everyone who has come through our doors - staff and families, colleagues and suppliers. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of each child’s early years at Donview Nursery and I will cherish those memories forever. Thank you for choosing us and trusting us to care for the most precious little people in your lives. I will miss them all dearly.
I also want to thank the staff – they do an incredibly difficult job but they do it so wonderfully, creating a home from home, and I hope they know how much they are valued and appreciated, they truly are the heart of the Donview family.
Lastly, I would like to wish Caroline all the very best for the future of the nursery, as it undergoes a facelift and a rebranding to Copper Pots Day Nursery. May it go from strength to strength under her ownership. 🌻
We are really excited to announce that Donview Nursery is going to be under new ownership very soon, and will become Copper Pots Day Nursery .
The staff team will remain in place, and they are looking forward to welcoming existing and new families to the setting, which will get a wee bit of a facelift while holding on to the homely, nurturing feel.

Wishing all our Donview Nursery children heading off to P1 this week all the very best of luck.
Also sending big hugs to all our parent/carers - this is a huge milestone. Enjoy, take loads of pictures and come back and visit us soon!

On Friday, we bid a final farewell to Sarah Philip with lots of surprises and gifts! The children and staff had created a huge sunflower picture, which the children helped to present to her in the afternoon.
There were also gifts from the staff at the end of the day.
Sarah had been with Donview Nursery for just over 8 years, 4 of which were in the nursery manager role. We thank her for her contribution to the nursery and we wish her all the very best in the next stage of her career.
This morning, Klaudia stepped into her new role of Nursery Manager and we’re all here to support her. I’m sure you’ll all join with us in wishing her good luck and supporting her in her new post. 🌻

🥳🎂 It’s our official birthday today - 11years old today! Thank you to all the families over the years for choosing us to care for their precious wee ones - it really is an honour and a privilege to play such an important role in their early years. 🌻🥰

🎄🎅🏼☃️🌻 We would like to wish all our children, staff, suppliers, friends and fellow childcare providers, and all their families a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. This has been an incredibly challenging year (again!) and our staff have been amazing, working under difficult circumstances, while always managing to provide a warm and welcoming learning environment for the children. We hope everyone enjoys the festive break, recharge the batteries and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.

Last night, we lit up our nursery in pink and blue lights for to remember the babies, to comfort those who’ve experienced loss, and to thank those who work with families to support them through their loss and grief.
