A page hoping to deliver mental health awareness and provide a safe and understanding community ๐Ÿ’š

The main aim of Never Never is to support and educate young people about self harm, mental health issues and the effects that these can have on people. Although a lot of our work is done in local schools, our efforts to get the messages out there do not stop there. Our page is used to further allow us to support people and educate as many people as possible. We are happy to accept any messages looking for support in any form.

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and break the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Let's prioritize self-care, check in on loved ones, and educate ourselves on mental health resources. Together, let's support and uplift each other.

Let's also focus on this year's theme of 'Community' during Mental Health Awareness Week. Building a strong support network and fostering connections with others can significantly impact our mental health. Let's come together as a community to show empathy, understanding, and solidarity towards those who may be struggling. Together, we can create a safe space where everyone's mental health is valued and supported.

๐ŸงกSelf Harm Awareness Day๐Ÿงก

In the shadows of the mind, a silent pain resides,
A battle fought in solitude, where darkness always hides.
The scars upon the skin, a language all their own,
A cry for help, a plea for peace, a pain too deep to be shown.

On this Self Harm Awareness Day, let's stand together strong,
To break the chains of shame and fear, to right the silent wrong.
Let kindness be our weapon, compassion be our guide,
To offer hope and healing to those who feel inside.

For those who bear the scars, know that you're not alone,
There's love and light that surrounds you, a place to call your own.
Reach out for help, speak your truth, let healing start to flow,
For in the darkness, there is light, and love will always grow.

So on this day of awareness, let's lift our voices high,
To support, to listen, to understand, to never turn a blind eye.
Together we can make a change, together we can mend,
The broken hearts, the wounded souls, and be a true friend.

So let's break the stigma, let's end the shame,
Let's offer hope and healing, let's change the game.
Self Harm Awareness Day, a time to shine a light,
On those who struggle in the dark, to help them find their fight.

In the season of love and light,
May your heart be merry, your spirit bright.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the year,
May peace and joy be ever near.

May your days be filled with laughter,
And your nights with dreams that matter.
May you find solace in the quiet moments,
And strength in the challenges you face with opponents.

Remember, you are not alone,
In this journey, you have a home.
With love and support, we stand by your side,
Together, in hope and healing, we shall abide.

So here's a wish for you, dear friend,
For a Christmas that brings peace without end.
May your heart be light, your mind at ease,
And may you find comfort in the gentle breeze.

Merry Christmas, with love and light ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿคถ๐Ÿป

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, I want to share my story of resilience and hope in line with this year's theme of changing the narrative on su***de. 17 years ago, I faced one of the darkest moments of my life, but I chose to hold on and fight for a better tomorrow. I am living proof that even in our darkest moments, there is light ahead. By sharing our stories and experiences, we can change the narrative around su***de and mental health, break the stigma, and encourage open conversations. If you are struggling, please know that there is help, there is hope, and there is a brighter future waiting for you. You are not alone in this journey. Together, we can overcome. ***dePreventionDay

๐ŸŽ‰ Celebrating 13 years free from self harm ๐ŸŽ‰

In the depths of darkness, I fought a battle,
Etching scars, enduring pain that rattled.
Through tears and silent screams, I found a flicker of hope,
A glimmer of dreams to help me cope.

Thirteen years have passed, a journey so long,
From self-inflicted wounds to a heart now strong.
Each day a struggle, each moment a fight,
But I never gave up, always seeking the light.

The road was rough, with twists and turns galore,
But the fire within me forever roared.
With each passing year, a victory I've won,
A testament to all that can be done.

From brokenness to wholeness, from despair to grace,
My story of triumph, my shining embrace.
So here's to thirteen years, a milestone so grand,
A celebration of strength, of courage, of hand.

To those still in darkness, I offer my hand,
Know you're not alone, you can take a stand.
Break free from the chains, let your spirit soar,
For healing is possible, and hope is in store.

Raise a glass, toast to the fight so true,
To overcoming self harm, to seeing the light anew.
Thirteen years of recovery, my journey through,
Here's to the warrior within, here's to you. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒฟ Self-care Reminder ๐ŸŒฟ

When your emotional cup is empty, remember to prioritize self-care. It's okay to take a step back, breathe, and focus on replenishing your own well-being. Whether it's a quiet walk in nature, journaling your thoughts, or simply taking a moment to rest, remember that self-care is not selfishโ€”it's essential. Take care of yourself, you deserve it. ๐Ÿ’•

Iโ€™m learning to love myself a little more, and what better way than to take a picture and feel happy enough with it to share online. We put ourselves under so much pressure to look a certain way, when we should just appreciate ourselves for who we are.

So take a moment today to appreciate the unique beauty that you possess. Embrace every curve, freckle, and imperfection that makes you, you. Self-love is the best love! ๐Ÿ’–

Here is a poem to mark Self Harm Awareness Day:

In the depths of despair, a silent cry,
Hidden scars that no one sees, oh why?
A battle within, a pain so deep,
Self-harm's grip, a secret to keep.

But know you're not alone in this fight,
In the darkness, there's a glimmer of light.
Reach out, speak up, let your voice be heard,
Your worth is greater than any hurt.

You are strong, you are brave, you are enough,
Seek help, find hope, in yourself, trust.
On this day of awareness, let it be known,
Healing is possible, you are not alone.

Together we stand, united and strong,
Breaking the silence, ending the long
Stigma and shame, let's rise above,
Embracing love, kindness, and self-love.

Self Harm Awareness Day, a reminder to all,
You are valued, you are worthy, you stand tall.
Let's support, let's care, let's spread light,
In the journey to healing, together, we unite. ๐Ÿงก

Thought Iโ€™d take a minute to share this quote. Itโ€™s so true, although itโ€™s easy to get caught up in comparing yourself with others.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Remember, we are all on our unique journeys, and growth happens at different speeds for each of us. Embrace your own path, trust the timing of your life, and celebrate your progress, no matter how small. You are exactly where you need to be. Keep moving forward with patience and self-compassion. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share something very personal with all of you. Recently, I made the difficult decision to leave my relationship in order to prioritize my own wellbeing. It wasn't an easy choice to make, but I knew deep down that I deserved more than what I had.

Leaving a relationship can be a challenging and emotional process, and it often involves a lot of self-reflection. Through this journey, I've come to realize that I am worth so much more than the situation I was in.

Taking this step has allowed me to focus on myself and prioritize my own happiness. It has given me the opportunity to rediscover my own worth and value. It's incredible how empowering it feels to recognize that I deserve better.

I want to encourage anyone who may be going through a similar experience to remember that you are not alone. It's okay to put yourself first and prioritize your own wellbeing. You are deserving of love, happiness, and a healthy relationship.

I am grateful for the support and understanding I have received from my loved ones during this time. It's important to surround yourself with people who uplift and support you as you make these difficult decisions.

Remember, you are worth more than what you had. Trust your instincts, prioritize your wellbeing, and never settle for less than you deserve. The journey may be challenging, but it's a journey towards self-discovery and a brighter future.

Itโ€™s so important to prioritise your own wellbeing ๐Ÿ’š
