Due to unforeseen circumstances the Sir Duncan Rice Library will be closed on Saturday 25th July. We will reopen at 8:30am on Monday 27th July. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Due to ongoing work to replace our security gates, Taylor Library will remain closed until Wednesday the 29th of July 2026.
We will continue to fetch books for collection in the SDRL as required.

Network outages - Saturday 25 July
Significant network hardware upgrade work will be undertaken this weekend within our primary Data Centre.
All IT services will be at risk, and will almost certainly be out of service, starting from 8am on Saturday 25 July, including but not limited to:
University website
WiFi networks – including eduroam, uoa-corporate, uoa-gaming
Wired network
Managed laptops – the F5 VPN will be offline.
Management Information Systems - Including Admissions, Student Records, etc.
Finance system
Outlook email lists
Teams telephony
We aim to recover most services before 5pm on Saturday 25 July though some services will be at risk until Monday 27 July.
We apologise for any inconvenience whilst this critical upgrade work is completed.

From Monday 20 July we are replacing the access gates at SDRL and Taylor Library.

Taylor Library will close at 17:00 today (17 July) and re-open at 9:00 on Monday 27 July. All requests received before 1pm will be taken across to SDRL the same day. Any requests received after 1pm will be fulfilled the following day.

SDRL remains open but there will be noise while the work is going on.
