🌟May Spotlight - Greenbrae Primary School🌟

A huge congratulations to Greenbrae Primary who have successfully achieved GOLD in the Sport Scotland School Sport Award for 2026-2028! 🏅

This is the second time in a row the school have achieved this award.

A fantastic effort from all to provide such an exciting, varied program of sport and activity for pupils. 🥳

🅿️ Pavement & Dropped Kerb Parking Ban & Irresponsible Parking 🅿️

The pavement parking ban in Aberdeen has been in place for some time now, yet sadly we continue to see irresponsible road safety and illegal parking happening outside our school every single day.

It is illegal ⛔️ to park on the pavements outside our school. City Wardens on duty will issue a £100 fine.

This ban also includes parking in front of dropped kerbs and double parking.

Therefore, there should be no cars parked at the entrance to the school car park as by doing this you are blocking the dropped kerbs.

Double parking to drop off pupils is very dangerous - you are actively encouraging your children to get out of your car into live traffic.

Our children travelling to school are being exposed to preventable danger due to selfish and dangerous driving/parking that continues to take place outside our school and we are actively urging all parents and carers to think more sensibly about how they are dropping off and collecting their children from school.

📣Your school fayre needs you!

Greenbrae’s Summer Fayre is this Saturday, but we are still short of volunteers to ensure the fayre can run smoothly and allow us to offer all activities/stalls.

Please note you DO NOT need to have a PVG for volunteering at this event.

Please get in touch with us by messaging this page if you are able to help anytime between 9am and 1pm on Saturday - even an hour of your time would be greatly appreciated.

Dress Down Friday! 💚

If you can, please donate a bottle and/or some chocolate for our school Fayre.

We would love: Chocolate in all shapes and sizes, bubble bath, juice, toiletries, wine, perfume, sauces etc.

Please ensure any alcohol donations are handed into the school office.

🎉 Help Us Create Amazing Hamper Prizes for the Summer Fayre!

This year, each year group will be putting together a themed hamper to be raffled at our Summer Fayre – and we’d love your support!

✨ Hamper themes:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 ELC / Nursery – Family Game Night
🧁 P1 – Baking
☀️ P2 – Summer
🛁 P3 – Self Care
🌼 P4 – Fun in the Garden
🎨 P5 – Arts and Crafts
🏖️ P6 – Beach and BBQ
🎬 P7 – Movie Night

If you’re able to donate an item for your child’s year group hamper, please send it into school by Friday 8 May to allow pupils time to make up the hampers together. 🙌

All donations are very much appreciated, and all funds raised will go directly towards supporting the school💚

📦 We’re also looking for large boxes or baskets suitable for hampers – these can be dropped off at the school office.

⚠️ Please note: we cannot accept nut products or alcohol for the hampers.
