My Fender Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue combo that I have had since 2010 was humming a fair bit recently. Through the process of deduction it turned out the V4 preamp tube had failed. Took the opportunity to replace all the preamp tubes and swapped V1 for a 5751 to increase the headroom a bit more....I need a loudish clean amp in The Tickets and use gradations of various overdrive and fuzz pedals for the gain stages.

This amp has done tons of gigs with The Tickets band and the only thing I have done in 16 years is fit a Celestion Redback 150W speaker and a blue jewel light ! Can't grumble ! 🤫😋

Reckon the Electro caps will need changed, a job for the Summer break !

My Jazzmaster has had a bit of a makeover/retro fit ! 😂 New Retro Wound pickups (superb stuff as always), a , new tortoiseshell scratchplate and all the new wiring, pots and cap etc wired 50's style (by moi). I'll be playing this and the V40 Deluxe at on Sunday night 😀
