We could not be more delighted to be offering our first Full-Time Employed Position (35 Hours per Week) at Youth Ballet Scotland! 🌟

Youth Ballet Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Ballet Teacher Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring ballet teacher to gain hands-on experience within a thriving dance school while working towards a recognised teaching qualification. ❤️

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) and will receive comprehensive mentoring and support from our coaching team, developing their teaching skills in line with Youth Ballet Scotland's teaching style, values, and ethos. 🫶

💙 Role Responsibilities 💙

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

🤍Teaching ballet and dance classes independently and alongside experienced teachers
🤍Assisting with and creating choreography for classes, performances, and competitions
🤍Class planning and music selection
🤍Music editing and preparation
🤍Creating and editing digital content for marketing and social media
🤍Attending staff meetings and training sessions
🤍Supporting administrative tasks
🤍Attending performances, examinations, competitions, and events
🤍Organising and managing costume rentals
🤍Assisting with costume preparation and maintenance
🤍Opportunity to learn costume design and production skills

💙 Training and Development 💙

As part of this apprenticeship-style role, the successful candidate will be required to enrol on the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS), a two-year teacher training programme. This will be available through a salary sacrifice scheme, if desired.🫶

Alongside formal RAD training, the candidate will receive ongoing mentoring, practical teaching experience, and professional development from the Youth Ballet Scotland coaching team.

Applicants should demonstrate:

🤍 A minimum of RAD Intermediate with Merit, or the ability and commitment to achieve this within three months of appointment
🤍 A positive attitude and growth mindset
🤍 Strong interpersonal and communication skills
🤍 A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young people from 18 months through to adults
🤍 Openness and flexibility to travel as required
🤍 A full driving licence, or a willingness to learn to drive

Are you creative, organised, and passionate about social media? We're looking for a self-employed Social Media Manager to take charge of our online presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

This is a flexible role with the potential to grow as our business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:
✨ Creating and managing engaging social media content
📸 Photographing classes, events, and activities
🎥 Filming and editing video content for social media and marketing campaigns
🖼️ Editing photos and creating visual content
📈 Assisting with marketing strategies and promotions
📊 Helping to grow our online audience and engagement

About the Role:
🏠 Primarily remote working
⏰ Flexible, self-managed hours
📍 Occasional attendance required to capture content at classes, events, and special activities
💼 Self-employed position
🕒 Approximately 3–5 hours per week initially, with scope for additional hours as the role develops
💷 Starting rate of £15 per hour

This role would be ideal for a freelancer looking to expand their client portfolio, a stay-at-home parent seeking flexible work around family commitments, or someone looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity with growth potential.

There may also be an opportunity to combine this role with one of our other administration positions to create a more substantial and sustainable part-time role.
