We found a ladybird! 🐞

Our preschool children made an exciting discovery in the garden – a beautiful little ladybird!

This sparked lots of wonderful discussions about where ladybirds live, what they like to eat, and the different features we could see. We even got to watch our little visitor spread her wings and fly!

After carefully looking at the spots on her back, the children decided to name her Polkadot. ❤️🖤

Everyone was so gentle and caring when holding Polkadot, and we collected some leaves to make her a cosy little place to rest. 🍃

We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dependable Nursery Housekeeper to join our lovely team! 🧽🌈

🕐 15 hours per week
📅 Flexible shifts, roughly 6pm–9pm
🏡 Helping to keep our nursery clean, tidy and welcoming for our little ones, families and team.

A taste of Italy! 🍕🇮🇹

Our Moonbeams have taken off around the world as they continue to explore different countries, and this time they have landed in Italy! ✈️🌍

The Moonbeams discovered that Italy is well known for its delicious pizza, which sparked lots of conversations about different pizza toppings and how they are made.

We created our very own shopping lists, headed to the shops and returned to nursery ready for some pizza-making fun! We made our own pizza dough before adding a selection of tasty vegetables for our toppings. 🫑🍅🧀

We then kindly asked our chef, Elijah, to cook our pizzas before enjoying them as a delicious afternoon snack. 👨‍🍳🍕

The Sunbeams had lots of fun creating and exploring their very own sensory bottles! 🫧🌈

Using oil, water and colourful paint, the children enjoyed watching the colours swirl, mix and move as they explored their bottles. This exciting sensory experience encouraged curiosity, wonder and exploration while supporting their developing understanding of cause and effect.

The children also strengthened their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as they poured, filled and handled their bottles. A lovely hands-on activity filled with colour, movement and discovery! 🎨💧✨

Lunch helpers! 👨‍🍳🥔

Our nursery children had lots of fun helping to prepare lunch at Cooking Club! Today, they practised peeling potatoes, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and recognition as they carefully worked through each step.

It was wonderful to see the children taking ownership of their work, talking about what they were doing, and showing such a lovely sense of pride and achievement when they saw the finished result. 🌟

Vehicle Spotting Adventure! ☀️🚗

Our Sunbeams have shown a great interest in vehicles, so last week we took our vehicle checklist out on a little walk to see how many different vehicles we could spot! 🚌🚙🚲🚛

The children had lots of fun looking, counting and talking about the vehicles they could see, while developing their communication, observation and counting skills along the way.
