Picnics & Parachutes! 🌈

Our Moonbeams enjoyed a lovely afternoon picnic on the field, making the most of the beautiful weather with a tasty snack outdoors.

Afterwards, the fun continued with parachute games! These exciting activities helped the children develop their coordination, fine and gross motor skills, turn-taking, teamwork, listening skills, and communication—all while having lots of fun and plenty of giggles! 🌟🪂

Graduation Memories at Nursery! ✨🎓

We know just how special graduation and the end of your child’s time at nursery can be. To help you celebrate this wonderful milestone, we’ve created a special photo area where you are welcome to dress up in our graduation gowns and capture those precious memories together. 📸💛

To make the day even more memorable, we had a very special surprise visit from the The Critter Keeper 🦎🕷️🐍 Our children loved meeting the fascinating animals, asking questions, and getting up close with some incredible creatures. What an unforgettable experience!

This week, the Moonbeams have been learning all about Scotland! 💙🏴

The children created their own Scottish flags using different shades of blue and a variety of natural resources, exploring their creativity and fine motor skills.

We also discovered Scotland's national flower, the thistle. Using our mark-making skills, we created beautiful thistle artwork in the arts and crafts area before taking a closer look at real thistles from the garden.

Before our exploration, we held a group discussion about staying safe and completed a simple risk assessment together. SIMOA the Elephant joined us on our adventure too! 🐘🌿

To finish our Scottish-themed week, the Moonbeams had lots of fun singing and dancing to traditional Scottish music, including "Auld Lang Syne" and "Ally Bally Bee".

Getting School Ready! 🎒

We've been practising getting ready for school, listening carefully and lining up when the bell rings, enjoying our snack outdoors, and confidently doing more for ourselves. We have also been learning to take care of our environment by using the bins responsibly. 🗑️

These everyday experiences help our children develop independence, responsibility, and confidence, supporting them as they prepare for their next exciting adventure. 🌟

🍣👩‍🍳 Cooking Club – Sushi Style! 🇯🇵✨

This week, our Moonbeams travelled to Japan without leaving the classroom!

The children made their very own vegetable sushi using rice, fresh vegetables, and seaweed. We enjoyed talking about where sushi comes from and learning a little about Japanese culture. 🇯🇵

Everyone had lots of fun scooping, chopping, and carefully rolling their ingredients before sitting down to enjoy tasting their delicious creations together. 😋🥢
