Rachael's Playhouse Nursery Aberdare & Hirwaun

A fantastic day travelling back in time to learn all about dinosaurs!

We investigated fossils and discovered where they might be found, before creating our very own fossils inspired by the dinosaur fact books we had been exploring. The children were fascinated to learn about the differences between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, and enjoyed sharing their new dinosaur knowledge with their friends.

One of the highlights of the day was using our projector to compare the sizes of different dinosaurs. The children were amazed to see just how big some of them were and loved measuring and comparing them together!

We were honoured to be contacted by Keep Wales Tidy - Cadwch Gymru'n Daclus to launch their Eco-Tots Cymru program at our setting. We are thrilled to be a part of this new project where our children are at the heart of this sustainability journey.
