The children at Blossom Afon Wen have enjoyed learning about their local community. They talked about the different places and buildings that are near their homes, sharing their own experiences and knowledge with their friends. The children then used their creativity to build models of different buildings found within the community. This activity helped to develop their understanding of the world around them and fostered a strong sense of belonging and connection to their local community.

The children had a wonderful time celebrating World Ocean Day through hands-on sensory and creative play. They explored an ocean-themed invitation to play, using blue dough, pasta coral reefs, shells, sea creatures, and natural materials to create their own underwater worlds. Through discussion and exploration, the children learned about marine life and the importance of caring for our oceans and the animals that live in them. The activity encouraged curiosity, imagination, fine motor development, and a growing awareness of how we can help protect our environment for future generations.
