🧯🚒 Fire Safety 🚒🧯

Teaching fire safety from an early age helps children build confidence, recognise dangers, and know what to do in an emergency. Today Oak room enjoyed a hands-on fire safety session where they saw a real (expired) water fire extinguisher in action and learned how a fire blanket can be used safely. Practical experiences like these help make important safety lessons memorable and engaging for young children. 🚒🔥

A simple walk to the farm offers so much more than a fun day out—it supports children’s holistic development in countless ways. 🌿🐑

As we explore the outdoors, children develop their physical skills through walking, climbing, and navigating different terrains. They build communication and language skills by asking questions, sharing observations, and learning new vocabulary about animals and nature.

At our nursery, we believe that some of the most valuable learning happens beyond the classroom, where children can explore, discover, and flourish through real-life experiences. 🍂✨

A very different post from us this morning…

Today we celebrate a very special birthday.

If you’ve been part of Eden’s story over the years, you’ll know Trevor. Never one for the spotlight or any fuss, he has been the backbone of so much that we do. From behind his computer, helping with the dishes, ordering the shopping, spending time chatting with the team, and countless other things that often go unseen, Trevor has faithfully served Eden in ways too numerous to mention.

Quite simply, Eden wouldn’t be where it is today without him.

He’s fitter than most of us, works harder than anyone we know, and his wisdom, common sense, and generosity are matched only by his unwavering faith in God.

So today, on his 80th birthday - with absolutely no signs of slowing down - we want to say a huge thank you to our Trev. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do, for who you are, and for the difference you’ve made in so many lives.

Oak room had a pamper day today! We have been learning about personal hygiene and how to keep clean! Preschool washed Millie’s hair and had manicures💅✨

We loved our visit off South Wales fire service 🚒

Today Oak room have been super busy preparing for a fish and chip supper! We made our very own potato wedges and cut lemons into wedges! We even tried tartar sauce.🍋🐟🥔

Fantastic use of hand eye coordination skills and promotion of child led learning using real life cooking equipment and techniques.⭐️
