If in doubt we get out in nature! We enjoyed investigating the berries and talked about how they turn from green to red to black and the children said “they’re not ready yet”. We noticed lots of fallen flowers from a tree which looked like caterpillars and discussed lengths and used mathematical language e.g. this is shorter, this one is longest.

What a scorcher of a week! We’ve been outdoors early in the morning for lots of water play and trying our best to stay cool indoors with the fan on and more water play indoors, lots of reading books and singing nursery rhymes! The toys of the week have turned out to be the nets on extending poles, the children love to fill up the nets and carry around the toy ducks!I’m looking forward to more water play over the summer but some cooler temperatures would be much appreciated 🫠🤞

A lovely relaxed afternoon, I was so pleased the children enjoyed exploring the new sensory bottles - a great way to enhance communication and language and to have the opportunity to explore smaller objects.

The children enjoyed posting the curtain rings into the box and hanging the rings onto the mug tree, great hand to eye co-ordination and one of the children gave themselves a clap well done 🤩🥰

We also experimented to see which cars and vehicles would go down the ramps best - always a fun activity!
