Abbey Village Crafter Based in Abbey village, Lancashire. I offer short, affordable, friendly craft sessions designed to introduce you to new creative skills.

From the delicate art of quilling or the thrill of block printing to the tactile fun of needle felting and much more. Abbey Village Crafter was born from my love of creativity and my 13 years of experience working in adult education. Over the years, I’ve seen how crafting can calm the mind, build confidence, and bring people together so I wanted to create a welcoming, local space where anyone could experience that joy.

Why do I love Crafting?

Crafting gives me time to slow down, focus on the moment, and enjoy making something with my own hands.
It's a chance to keep learning, and find joy in the process.

For me, crafting has never been about perfection. It's about the simple happiness that comes from the process of making.
Not everything is perfect, but I am happy with that. For me it's the journey and not always about the end result.

Just returned from a relaxing camping weekend in Delamere forest with Teresa from Crafty Cowshed. Plenty of crocheting, tea and cake 😊 Not to mention sunshine😁 And biscuits 🤭
I am loving how my hexi cardigan using 'electric boogaloo' wool from Flock & Skein is turning out. Hopefully it will be finished in a few weeks and I'll be able to share pics of finshed cardigan with you.

I can't wait to tell you more about the October and November workshops, that will be called "Learn a Craft for Christmas."
October dates will be advertised 1st September.

At each workshop, you'll learn how to make a beautiful handmade Christmas decoration to take home. ✨

If you catch the crafting bug (and I think you might!), you'll also have the option to buy a take-home kit containing things you need to make more identical decorations in time to put them up for Christmas.

I can't wait to share all the festive makes with you! ❤️

Inspired by sewing bee I have got the sewing machine out today. A perfect wet Sunday morning activity.
Today I am doing some easy quilting using fabric from old clothes. Reusing / recycling is one of the many reasons I love quilting/ sewing🤗
Sorry can't show you finished item (yet) as it's a present. However, seeing the colours, those who know me, probably know where some of the fabric came from🤭
