American International School of Libreville
AISL accepts the responsibility in partnership with parents and community members to prepare and guide children to be successful citizens of the world.
In 1976, the U.S. Ambassador to Gabon requested that the Gabonese government allow the establishment of the American International School of Libreville (AISL). The school would operate under the sponsorship of the United States Embassy, Libreville. Students in the upper school visited the IPHAMETRA. AISL’s host that day was the Institute’s Director, Professor Paul Bourobou. Students had a two-hour tour, which
included visiting the arboretum, the
herbarium, and the plant science lab.

Students of primary classes got a chance to visit the stadium and interact with famous Gabonese soccer player who is also known as the " Gabonese Pele", his name was Tonton Michel. Our P.E teacher organised several games for the kids.

AISL Student Council organised Spirit Week March 2-6
Match Day is like twin day except with as many people as you want.
Cultural Diversity Day is a day to dress up in ethnic clothing.
Opposite Day is for dressing up backwards, inside out, or completely opposite your personality.
Decade Day-pick your favorite decade and dress accordingly.

"Our annual Family Math Day was a day filled
with excitement as our students at AISL and
their parents had the opportunity to explore
hands- on math activities and celebrate the 100's Day of school on February 13, 2015.
The event lasted for two hours and ended
with a celebration with two first place
winning teams. Congratulations to the Yellow

Grade 3 & 4 read the book Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and learnt how W***y Wonka made candies,chocolates and spread all over the world.
Kids went to Parisienne Bakery and learnt how they make bread and spread to the community.

The AISL Day Of Servise, in honor of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, jr. proved to be tremendous community effort. Students and Faculty joined forces to participate in four community service activities on our school campus.

4. Creating and Painitng a Community Mural.
