Hans-Walter Müller is a german engineer. At the state of the art he created ethereal structures made of light, air or wind. His career of freedom was celebrated at the Paris Biennale in 1965 and he was the creator of the German Pavillion at Montreal Expo 67. His partners in crime were Jean Dubuffet, Salvador Dalí or Maurice Béjart. Wind has always played a central role in Versailles, a place he knows very well. From the love of Zephyr and Borée to the presentation of the first manned flying object: the hot air balloon in 1783 by the Montgolfiers, wind was an inspiration for art, science and manners. In 1999 France was hit, most unusually, by a hurricane, and the Estate suffered serious damage. But it proved over time to be a rare opportunity for Versailles. A massive replanting campaign was launched, and Versailles gardens gained back their juvenile state ; as Louis the XIV knew it. Together with you, coming from all over the world, we will create inflatable structure that will enlighten a juvenile sky on July 8 2022.

Jean Lebrun, is a french journalist. He has been a hoarse contribuor of French major after-war publications such as Combat or Esprit. You can get used to his voice every day during 4 minutes as he broadcasts live from the most listened radio of the Hexagon ; . Fascinated by after war worldly parties, he will explain us how those moments were ones of reconstruction, responsibility and faith in the world in its broader acceptation. In other words, how the world can be celebrated fully. In those years, a society outside of its time sprang up around the iconic monument and included fashionable figures, such as Countess Greffulhe and Robert de Montesquiou; the writers Marcel Proust and Henri de Régnier; musicians Reynaldo Hahn and Gabriel Fauré; painters Paul Helleu and Giovanni Boldini; or the intriguing garden designer, Achille Duchêne. Edward VIII abdicated the throne of King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India in 1936. His wife, Wallis Simpson spent her first night outside the country following on the abdication in Villa Trianon. A place adjoining the Versailles Estate, in which they created the craziest parties of the time and where Gabrielle Chanel was always the sparkling piece close as possible to a living heritage that fascinated her.

Fascinated by after war worldly parties, he will explain us how those moments were ones of reconstruction, responsibility and faith in the world in its broader acceptation. In other words, how the world can be celebrated fully. The after world wars times are for Versailles a true resurrection. At stake during the fights, what is now called Versailles’ Revival is a period in which it regained its royal and aristocratic sparkle, as well as a newfound popularity. Versailles was rediscovered by the most prominent artists and figures of the time : the most diverse painters drew inspiration from it, from the Russian Alexandre Benois to Georges Rouault, not forgetting Gaston La Touche, Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer and Henri Le Sidaner, as well as photographers such as Eugène Atget, Edward Steichen and Man Ray. Cinema, too, from its earliest stages, became caught up in it. The Palace served as an architectural model for rulers of the new world such as Ludwig II of Bavaria Boni de Castellane, Alva Vanderbilt or other Americans. And as such, Versailles reconnected with its essence : being the place of Parties. All of this spirit falled back until being totally forgotten by the second half of the century and the emergence of a faddish and conservative Versailles.

Frédérique Aït-Touati (Frédérique Aït-Touati]) is a French stage director and science historian. She will direct the operations of creating a shared representation of our world (so much needed ?) on a blank giant globe. With a diameter of 5m, it will become the Third Coronelli’s Globe for the Third Millennium.
The so-called Louis XIV Globes, produced by the Venetian cosmographer Vincenzo Coronelli and offered to the Sun King, present a synthetic representation of the Earth and the sky. These globes, exceptional in their size (5m in diameter), are the two most monumental pieces kept by the National Library of France. Representing the Earth is making it a project. The image of the world has determined the action we have allowed ourselves to take. They are both objects of science and emblems of power.

Frédérique Aït-Touati (Frédérique Aït-Touati]) is a French stage director and science historian. The most analogical tools such as drawing, words or voice are side by side convoked in her actions with state of the art scientific instruments to explore ways of seeing the Earth. What do we see today ? Unveiling alternative visions of the world trough cartography, her research opens potentialities, neither visions nor analysis. Preconceptions we tend to have are still persistent as a shared imaginative frame. We will explore and contribute with her to the moving representations of our Earth at a critical time. An observation, changing and exchanging our views, base to new political forms. She will direct the operations of creating a shared representation of our world (so much needed ?) on a blank giant globe. With a diameter of five meters, it will become the Third Coronelli’s Globe for the Third Millennium.

Frédérique Aït-Touati is (Frédérique Aït-Touati] ) a French stage director and science historian. In 2004, she created her company Zone Critique in the United Kingdom in reference to the work of Bruno Latour on Gaïa. Teacher at ENS, EHESS, New York University, researcher at CNRS and director of the Experimental Program in Political Arts, she explores ecological imaginaries and has staged their evolution. Her current research focuses on the thought of theatre, conceived as a heuristic and epistemic device, at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. Implementing a pedagogy through the tools of the Société du Spectacle, it gave a fictitious reality to the work of Latour. We may quote the show Gaïa Global Circus (2013-2016) and Le Théâtre des Négociations conducted with students as an alternative parliament during COP25 in 2015. She will direct the operations of creating a shared representation of our world (so much needed ?) on a blank giant globe. With a diameter of five meters, it will become the Third Coronelli’s Globe for the Third Millennium. It was with the Versailles of Louis XIV that the transition from the map to the globe took place. Mapping is a question of the gaze, the landscape and the artificial. What we can represent is what we can control. Cartography has been an instrument of conquest. The globe is a symbol of the École de Versailles and is at the heart of its concerns, being the scale to which it permanently refers both at the theoretical and project levels.
