Certes, le nom « Troyes » ne te vend peut-être pas du rêve et tu t’imagines une ville un peu perdue ou tu vas vite t’ennuyer, mais on te rassure tout de suite, ce n’est pas (toujours) le cas 🕺🏼

En hiver, tu peux venir te réchauffer dans les bars, notamment le Dropkick, le Gotham, ou encore les 3 Brasseurs, 🍻 T’auras même l’occasion de voir des étudiants de l’UTT en concert 👀 Si t’es un compétitif dans l’âme, alors fonce au lazer game, à la patinoire ou au bowling, où tu trouveras aussi des jeux d’arcade 👾 Enfin, pour shopper tes cadeaux de Noël, les Magasins d’Usine sont là pour ça 🎅🏼

En été, c’est l’occasion pour toi de prendre un peu l’air entre tes médians et finaux, alors pourquoi pas aller te baigner au lac d’Orient? Ce dernier se trouve à 30 minutes en voiture de Troyes. Si t’as la flemme (et ça se comprend), tu peux juste venir décompresser aux quais de Troyes 🌞

Toute l’année, tu peux aussi visiter les musées de Troyes, qui sont pour la plupart gratuits pour les étudiants !

Okay, « Troyes » doesn’t sound like the dream city and you might think it’s a place in the middle of nowhere where you will get bored easily, but don’t worry, it is not (always) true 🕺🏼

In winter, you can warm up in a bar, especially the Dropkick, the Gotham or The 3 Brasseurs 🍻 You will even have the opportunity to see UTT students performing concerts 👀 If you’re a competitor at heart, then go straight to the bowling, where you will also find arcades 👾 Finally if shopping is your thing and you need Christmas gifts, you can stroll along the factory outlets 🎅🏼

In summer, you will finally be able to take some fresh air between your mid and final terms, then why not go swimming in the Lac d’Orient ? It is 30 minutes by car from Troyes. If you’re feeling lazy (understandable), you can just chill at the quays of Troyes 🌞

During the entire year, you can visit museums which are, for most of them, free for students !

🎓 Le BDE, Bureau Des Étudiants, est l’acteur le plus important de la vie étudiante à l’UTT.
Il te permet d’emprunter du matériel (type appareils à raclette), d’acheter des fournitures de bureau et de bénéficier de tarifs avantageux auprès de nos partenaires !
💥 Il organise aussi des événements tout au long du semestre : l’intégration, les SDF (Soirée des Finaux) 🎉, les Afterworks le jeudi soir et pleins d’autres activités et soirées ! 🥳

🌟 À l’UTT, on a une vie étudiante très animée.

Avec plus de 3000 étudiants, tu imagines bien, on a de tout, pour tous les goûts et intérêts !

Des clubs techs, aux assos artistiques pour la musique, la danse, le théâtre…, jusqu’aux projets humanitaires et écolos, y’a vraiment de quoi faire ! Il y a aussi beaucoup de sport avec l’AS à la Halle Sportive !

💡 Mais si t’as une idée de génie et que l’asso de tes rêves n’existe pas encore, pas de problème ! C’est le moment idéal pour te lancer et la créer de A à Z ! Le BDE sera là pour t’aider dans les démarches.

Rejoindre une asso ou monter la tienne, c’est l’occasion de rencontrer plein de nouvelles têtes, d’apprendre un max de nouvelles choses et de se détendre après les cours !

🌟 At UTT, we have a very dynamic student life.

With over 3,000 students, you can imagine, there’s something for every taste and interest!
From tech clubs, to artistic associations for music, dance, theater..., to humanitarian and environmental projects, there’s really something for everyone! There’s also plenty of sport with the Sportive Association at the Sport Center !

💡 But if you’ve got a brilliant idea and the association of your dreams doesn’t yet exist, no problem! This is the perfect time to get started and create it from A to Z! The BDE will be there to help you get started.

Joining an association or setting up your own is a great opportunity to meet lots of new people, learn lots of new things and relax after classes!

Ensuite, surveille bien ta boîte mail car c’est bien toi qui recevra ses contacts et ce sera donc à toi de lui envoyer un message afin de te présenter. 😉

What’s the buddy system ? 👩‍👦

To help you get your bearings at UTT, we’ve assigned you a buddy. He or she will be able to answer your questions about UTT, accompany you in the discovery of your student life and give you advice for a great start to this new adventure.

To find out who your buddy is, simply fill in the short questionnaire on the integration website if you haven’t already done so. Then, keep a close eye on your mailbox, as you’ll be the one to receive his or her contacts, so it’s up to you to send him or her a message introducing yourself 😉

Your buddy is eagerly awaiting a message from you, so if you haven’t sent him or her anything yet - now’s the time 🌞

🔍Tu cherches un petit job à côté de tes cours à l’UTT ? Voici quelques petits conseils qui pourront peut-être t’aider.
📒 Tu pourrais commencer tes recherches à distance en t’inscrivant sur une plateforme d’intérim en ligne comme “Hellowork” ou encore contacter une agence directement sur Troyes comme Sup intérim, intérim PROMAN, intérim Randstad… N’hésite surtout pas à appeler et à rappeler.
📜 Tu pourrais aussi utiliser la bonne vieille méthode, c’est-à-dire imprimer ton CV, ta lettre de motivation et le donner dans les commerces à proximité de chez toi.
📢 Si malheureusement, tu n’as pas trouvé après tout cela, tu pourras toujours surveiller la boîte mail de l’UTT car l’école propose quelques jobs étudiants. Il y a aussi des emplois relayés sur le site du Crous.
N’hésite pas non plus à suivre le compte Jobassadeurs qui partage des offres disponibles dans tout l’Aube.

🔍 Are you looking for a job alongside your classes at UTT? Here are a few tips that might help.
📒 You could start your search remotely by registering on an online temping platform like “Hellowork” or contact an agency directly in Troyes like Sup intérim, intérim PROMAN, intérim Randstad... Don’t hesitate to call and to call back.
📜 You could also use the good old-fashioned method of printing out your CV, your cover letter and handing it in to local businesses.
📢 If, unfortunately, you still haven’t found what you’re looking for, you can always keep an eye on the UTT mailbox, as the school offers a number of student jobs and passes on information about jobs available in the surrounding area, as well as jobs advertised on the Crous website.
And don’t hesitate to follow the Jobassadeurs account, which shares job offers throughout the Aube region.

🍛 Le RU (Restaurant universitaire), place Léonard de Vinci: les repas sont complets et assez équilibrés pour peu cher (1€). Tu pourras payer avec Izly, la méthode de paiement du Crous (avec ta carte étudiante ou l’application) ou bien par CB.

🥪 La Cafet’, près de l’accueil de l’UTT, propose des salades, paninis, sandwichs…. C’est une option plus rapide que le RU, mais un peu plus chère (une option à 1€ et le reste à partir de 3,5€).

🍜 Le Viet, un restaurant vietnamien, place Léonard de Vinci, propose des plats à petit prix (entre 4 et 6 €). Les portions sont généreuses, mais le choix de plats est limité.

🍽️ Si tu préfères apporter ton propre repas, tu peux manger au foyer qui met à ta disposition des micro-ondes, des frigos et des canapés confortables.

Tu as une borne près de l’UTT, mais aussi à côté de l’hôpital, de la Yschools ou encore de l’hôtel de ville (mais attention, à certains horaires, ces bornes peuvent s’avérer être vides 🙃).

You have Marcel close to the UTT, near the hospital, the YScools or the town hall (but be careful at certain hours there may not be any bike left 🙃).
