Two ways to teach vocabulary to preschoolers.

DULL: ask children to pick up pictures off the floor and name them.

FUN: tell your children they are pirates who have lost their treasure overboard and they must dive down and retrieve it!

'Marooned' is a great game to promote fluent speaking in intermediate to advanced adult learners.

Divide your class into teams. Your students are marooned on an island. Get them to discuss what five or six items would they want with them, and why?

There are a great many benefits in teaching English using songs, as long as you do it right.

Make sure you choose something with simple words which is repetitive. Keep the children active rather than passive listeners, for example get them to run and jump on a flashcard of a noun when they hear that noun.
