Stranraer Academy Battlefields Each year S3 pupils from the Academy travel to Ypres and spend a week visiting sites, museums and me

After games night last night we had an early start with a 7.15am departure to head over the boarder in to Northern France.
When in France we explored the Sir John Monash Centre and Australian 🇦🇺 memorial before taking lunch in the lovely town of Albert.
Once fed and watered we moved on to Lochnagar Crater and finding local soldiers who are mentioned at Theipval memorial to those lost at the Somme.
The final stop for the day was Wellington Quarry near Arras, then it is back on the bus to head of Ypres and the Menin Gate School House- our home for the week.
