Paying a visit to Sebastien Brunet (Loire Valley/ Vouvray). One of my fav’ ! The natural cellar made in Tuffeau shows growing life (sign of a sane environment for the wine to ferment and mature). Every « cuvée » is worth a try and a type of meal. The dry white wines ‘Arpent’ could be considered as the brother of ‘Insolite’ from Thierry Germain (very precise, clean, with a beautiful acidity). The vertical wine tasting also showed the evolution of the domaine through the years. It is one of the name to be closely followed. Remember his name : Sebastien Brunet. You will hear from him in the coming years!

Bon nombres d’idées reçues cohabitent souvent sur cette pratique, ainsi que quelques confusions, ce qui ne manque pas d’alimenter ces discussions animées autour de la décantation du vin. Started with a nice selection of white wines, followed with a surprising bottle of 100% Spanish Grenache (natural wine).
Meals are french elaborated cuisine with a Japanese touch! 🇯🇵

WTF : Wine The Facts!
As it is currently the harvest time, a post related to this season! Did you know that one of the worst fear in this time in the year is to suffer continuous rainfalls? 2018 has been a wonderful year for most région, and we are all excited to see the output. However, grapes are in some cases still hanging on their vines and a massive rainfall would swell the berries with water and totally dilute the aromas and sugar. Let’s hope the weather will still be gentle! 🤞

Did you already tasting romorantin? An exclusive grape variety from the Loire Valley (Cour-Cheverny, very interesting, aromatic (citrus, honey 🍯 like) and acidic with amazing ageing capacity for a white wine. The is in producing bio-dynamic wines since 1998 already, and produces white wine as well as red (Pinot Noir and Gamay).

Coming back to the roots... I am in the Eurostar, back from 🇬🇧 to 🇫🇷, and for good. I will miss London’s energy, dynanism and openness. Though, I am happy to experience Paris again, its mess, poetism and Latin atmosphere. KEEP MOTION’S GOING ON! ⭐️

We found trace of wine with the Egyptians. But According to Archeologists, the first grapes were grown in Eastern Europe and the fruit spread from there.
