Following an amazing four-year journey with us, we’re saying a heartfelt goodbye to our school counselor, Ms. Mae, as she returns to Singapore. We truly appreciate all you've done!

Equally exciting, we’re delighted to introduce Hayley Smith, Ph.D. (Developmental & Brain Sciences), stepping in as our new K–12 counselor. Her worldwide expertise and holistic approach to student development are excellent assets for our school. Welcome aboard, Hayley! 🎉

What an incredible year it has been! From Kindergarten students growing their own vegetables to class residential trips and science experiments, our teachers worked hard all year to make learning exciting both inside and outside the classroom.

A huge congratulations to our graduating Class of 2026 on their outstanding IB results! We are so proud of all they have achieved. Wishing our whole ISL community a relaxing and happy summer. See you in September!

Big congratulations to our ISL Robotics Club! 🤖 The team recently competed in the European First Tech Challenge in Eindhoven, facing some tricky technical hiccups along the way but bouncing back with real determination to finish 18th out of 53 teams.

They even made it into the alliance rounds, going all the way to round 6 out of 8! Thank you to Julie, Haseok, Lars, Lewis, Piotr, Siddharth, and Wassim, and to everyone who took part this year. A huge thank you also to Gillian and Aurélie for volunteering, and to Mak Conseils and the Gene Haas Foundation for their support 🙌

🏆 Congratulations to our Grade 6 Mathematics World Cup champions!

Over the last two weeks of school, students from Grade 6, Grade 7, and Grade 8 turned mental maths into a football tournament, forming teams and battling through group and knockout stages. Instead of goals, it was quick fire maths questions moving the ball down the pitch. The final came down to the wire, with Grade 6 beating Grade 7 to lift the trophy. Well done to all our players for some brilliant thinking under pressure! ⚽

🎬 Lights, camera, no words! Our Grade 3 and 4 students have been working on an exciting silent film project, inspired by the early films of the Lumière brothers.

Together, they wrote their own scenarios, built props, directed scenes, and used mime, then added sound effects and music to bring their films to life. The films were screened for parents and Primary students, who loved the creativity, humour, and imagination on display. Congratulations to all our talented Grade 3 and 4 filmmakers! 🎥

Our Grade 9 students just turned Shakespeare upside down (in the best way)! 🎭

Tasked with staging the tragic-turned-hilarious Pyramus and Thisbe from A Midsummer Night's Dream, they leaned fully into the comedy, with over-the-top deaths and wonderfully awkward turns as Wall and Moonshine. Huge kudos to everyone for tackling the tricky language and proving classical drama can be proper brilliant fun!

🌋 Who knew biscuits could teach geology? During their Volcanoes unit, Grade 7 used biscuits and pink icing to show how tectonic plates move, shift, and collide.

Students shaped their biscuits to demonstrate transform, divergent, and convergent boundaries, then explained how that movement causes volcanic eruptions. And yes, the biscuits were just as delicious as they were educational! 🍪
