Etre et Découvrir is a bilingual Montessori school located on stunning grounds of the Chateau of St Nom to the West of Paris, France.

We aim to inspire a love of learning while developing the whole child in a multicultural environment.

Class 3-6 yrs - outing to Plaisir Tennis Club
One week ago we had a chance to visit the facilities of the tennis club, learn about and try out some tennis adapted to children age. Great thank you to Sebastien, Ellie's dad (who is an international level tennis coach) for organising our visit! 🎾

Athletes - zoom call
We were delighted to welcome 2 inspirational athletes to a zoom call with our school pupils today.
Kate Allenby, the British winner of a bronze medal in pentathlon at the Sydney Olympic Games and Michelle Kelly who represented America at the 2018 pentathlon world championships and won gold!
Our pupils were excited to ask lots of questions to these incredible athletes! Kate even had Lego models made of herself that she showed to our pupils ! 🥇

Sports Day -08/06/2024
Last Saturday we shared the Olympics spirit at the end of the school year.. 🏆 We had lots of fun competing in different races (hard boiled egg, sprint etc.). Parents organised also Tombola, cake stand, 2nd hand book sale. What a lovely community we have!

Get ready with Olympics, class 6-12
As part of our annual theme on the "Ready, set go Olympics", pupils in our 6-12 class got the opportunity to attend a special judo coaching session in the Teddy Riner Sports Centre set up for our Montessori school.
A big thank you to USSNB Judo Club de St Nom La Bretèche for making this possible.

Surprise Monday, children 6-12 yrs old
Our elementary class were delighted to welcome one of our dad’s, Marc de Martini from Medtronic and his colleague as one of our “surprise Monday” guests last month. They kindly took time out of their working day to talk to our 6-12 class and demonstrate some medical devices.
Pupils learned about what the company does as well as patient monitoring and patient safety. A big thank you to Marc and his team for the inspiring work he does as a leader in his company and for helping our pupils learn about this life changing and revolutionary field.

We celebrated our 100 days of school with a 100 metre race set up in the chateau grounds. Lots of fun was had by all under a beautiful blue April sky.
