This month, we’ve made significant progress! We started our research on critical thinking and launched our social media. If you’re not already following us on Instagram () and Facebook (Critical Thinking Skills For Young Migrants), do it now! Research and Reflection: This first month of research has raised an interesting question: what topics are particularly important for migrants to apply critical thinking to?So far, we have focused on critical thinking applied to migration in general, its representation, fake news on the subject, cognitive biases, etc. While this theme is obviously crucial, it seems more relevant for changing Europeans’ perceptions of migration. New Question: What topics might be more interesting to discuss with migrants, for migrants? We have a few ideas:
• Propaganda in times of war
• Climate change and its impact on migration
Call for Suggestions: We invite everyone following us to suggest topics they find relevant. Your input is essential! Project Objective: Let’s remember that the goal of Crinking-Skills is to create a guide for youth workers working with young migrants, providing them with concrete tools to help these young people strengthen their critical thinking.Thank you for your continued support and don’t forget to follow us on social media for more updates! A successful start for our project ‘Critical Thinking Skills for Young Migrants’!
The project team met in Pau, France, on 13 and 14 June for the kick-off meeting. During these two intense days, we managed to consolidate our action plan and align all partners involved. It was a crucial moment to lay the foundations of this important project.
We started with the presentation of all partners and the signing of the certification. The partners are:
Rakonto (France) Project leader - INNETICA (Spain) - Logos (Poland) - Kepder Kültür Eğitim ve Proje Derneği (Turkey).
We also saw updates on progress on key tasks, such as GANTT planning and the development of the project's visual identity. We discussed in depth the dissemination activities, including the newsletter, website and monthly meetings.
Finally, we enjoyed a cultural visit to the charming city of Pau.
It was an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better and to strengthen the links between the team.
We thank all partners for their commitment and enthusiasm.
Together, we will make this project of fostering critical thinking in young migrants a success. More news coming soon on our website and social media platforms!
