Allow me to reintroduce myself 👋

I’m Priscilla. I started out as an au pair. Today, I’m a legal counsel in finance by day and a money creator the rest of the time.

Law degrees from the UK, the US and France 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇫🇷. One little girl. A lot of flights between Paris and New York ✈️

I’ve paid off $154K+ in 4 years, and I’m almost debt-free.

And one conviction: nobody teaches us what to do with the money we work so hard to earn.

That’s why I started Voilà The Budget: to talk about money the way I read contracts. Simply, clearly, no jargon.

If you earn a living and want your money to finally work for you, welcome home 🤍

Fun fact: in 2018, I saw twice. At the Stade de France in Paris in July, then at Metlife Stadium in NJ in August 🐝

Your emergency fund isn’t « money doing nothing. » It’s the reason an emergency stays an inconvenience. 🌂

Start with $500. Then one month of expenses. Then three. Future you says thank you. 💐

Save this for the day you need the reminder ✨

📌 SAVE & SHARE

Wherever you are in your money journey right now — you’re not behind. You’re just early.

Some of us are figuring out how to budget on an income that should already be enough. Some are paying down loans on a real salary and still feel like they’re standing still. Some started earning properly at 35 and quietly wonder if it’s too late. It isn’t. All of it counts.

Comment the heart that matches your season 👇🏽 I read every one.

In the late 80’s, Dolly Parton walked into a school gym in Sevier County, Tennessee and made a room full of 7th and 8th graders a bet.

Pick a buddy. If you both graduate high school, I hand you each $500. If one of you drops out, neither of you gets paid.

She called it the Buddy Program. And what made it work wasn’t the money — $500 is $500. It’s that quitting stopped being a private decision. You weren’t just letting yourself down anymore. You were letting your friend down too.

The dropout rate for those two classes went from 35% to 6%.

No committee. No pilot study. No task force. One promise, and a partner who had a reason to make sure you showed up.

She went on to build the Imagination Library — 332 million free books mailed to children around the world. But it started in a room full of teenagers in her hometown who needed someone to bet on them.

I’ve spent most of my life in classrooms. Education changed everything for me, so this is the story of hers I keep coming back to.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 1946–2026 🤍
