📖 Chapter 5: Every place has a story

Yesterday, the Paris May Term explored the many stories of Versailles—from the grandeur of royal power to the quieter world of Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet. Walking through palaces, gardens, and the hamlet itself, students considered how history is told, remembered, and reimagined.

Chapter 3: Wandering through the stories of Paris 🇫🇷✨

From the artists and winding streets of Montmartre, to the peaceful beauty of the Grand Mosque of Paris, to the rich history and visual culture of the Palais de la Porte Dorée — the Paris May Term continues to challenge, inspire, and expand students’ understanding of culture, history, and global community.

Every neighborhood tells a different story, and every step through Paris becomes part of our own. 💙🧡

Paris through stories, art, and history 🇫🇷✨

Today, the students explored the winding streets of the Marais, from the elegance of the Place des Vosges to the rich history housed inside the Musée Carnavalet. We also spent time at the Musée d’Orsay, tracing the revolutionary vision of the Impressionists and seeing firsthand how artists transformed the way we experience modern life.

From historic neighborhoods to iconic works by Monet, Degas, Renoir, and more, each stop offered a new way to read the city through its art and memory.

Over the next two weeks, follow along as our latest group of students trades the lakeshore for the Seine, digs into French culture, and makes memories that'll last well beyond graduation.

Here's to 10 years of seeing the world through new eyes. 🗼✨

Final Exam Day—Amazing Race Style! 📚🏃‍♀️The students were broken into teams and given five hours to find nine sites across the city we hadn’t visited as a class. Working together, the goal was to reflect on the history and significance of these places—and to have some fun along the way. 😜
