Last week, 120 students from ESCP, HEC and ESSEC came together at ESCP in Paris for the third edition of PIVOTS (Partnership for Ideas, Vision, Opportunities and Tipping Points in Sustainability).

“This year we made the choice to put the emphasis on geopolitics and how geopolitics are interacting with and completely linked with sustainability topics,” said Prof. Aurélien Acquier, ESCP professor of sustainability and co-organiser of PIVOTS.

Participants were challenged to explore how five key sectors could evolve by 2035. Working across , & , , , and & , they combined foresight, strategic analysis and design fiction to develop future scenarios and recommendations for organisations navigating an increasingly uncertain world shaped by shifting resources, technologies, and geopolitical dynamics.

💡 One of the greatest strengths of is its collaborative spirit. By bringing together students from three leading business schools and diverse sustainability programmes, the initiative encourages participants to challenge assumptions, learn from different perspectives, and imagine alternative futures.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2026 edition:

What’s it like to navigate Europe as a young person today? 900+ ESCP students, aged 18 to 35, share what it means to Live, Learn & Love in Europe in our first annual survey 🌍

Representing 30+ nationalities, including France, Italy, Germany, Spain, UK, India, and many more, ESCP students and recent graduates were invited to share their perspectives on what they value most about life in , the challenges they face, and why so many see a future on the continent.

From questions on perceived cost of living, access to essential services and overall quality of life to how they navigate relationships and envision the future, the survey captures a shared sense of what Europe means for this generation.

🏠 91% are satisfied with the quality of life in Europe, though 94% consider Europe expensive to live in, with 6 out of 10 reporting difficulties finding accommodation.

🎓 9 in 10 students say they are likely to work in Europe after their studies, while 52% envision starting a business.

💙 82% find it easy to meet new people, 75% find it easy to make friends, but only 49% find it easy to start or maintain a romantic relationship.

Beyond statistics, students described Europe as a place of freedom, shared values and cooperation between nations, and also, increasingly, as something worth protecting.

But their support comes with caveats: some criticise bureaucracy, heavy regulation and a lack of innovation, and others feel the European project needs to adapt faster to remain relevant.

"By listening deeply to our students and recent graduates, we gain a clearer understanding of how they experience Europe — its opportunities, its tensions and its promise. That insight will inform our strategic vision, help evolve the and support our mission to prepare the accountable, bold and creative Europe needs," says Prof. Francesco Rattalino, Executive Vice-President in charge of Academic Affairs and Student Experience

The 2026 edition of the Live, Learn & Love in Europe survey was conducted by Viavoice on behalf of ESCP Business School between 20 January and 6 March 2026. As part of ESCP’s & strategic plan, the survey will run annually from 2026 to 2030 and aims to create an ongoing dialogue with the next generation of leaders shaping Europe’s future.

“AI transforms jobs, it doesn’t just kill them” 🎙️⚡ with prof. Louis-David Benyayer

In Episode 2 of ESCP Edge Season 2, Louis-David Benyayer, Associate Professor of Digital transformation and Operations Management at ESCP Business School and Coordinator of Initiatives, joins Nick Taylor to explore one of the most pressing business questions of our time: why massive investments in AI are not yet translating into the productivity gains many expected.

📄 Drawing on research, real-world examples, and sharp business insight, the conversation cuts through the hype surrounding artificial intelligence and its impact on organisations, jobs, and education.

From the surprising growth in the number of radiologists after AI adoption, to the challenges companies face when automating away entry-level learning opportunities, the episode highlights how AI is reshaping work rather than simply replacing it 📊 It also explores why too much data can become a liability, why intuition still matters, and why successful AI transformation depends as much on people and culture as it does on technology itself.

The discussion also looks ahead at the future of education and leadership 🌍 As businesses adapt to generative AI, the skills that matter most are rapidly evolving: critical thinking, technological literacy, adaptability, and leadership. ESCP is actively rethinking how business education can prepare future leaders for this new reality.

For anyone trying to make sense of AI beyond the headlines, this episode offers grounded and thought-provoking perspectives that challenge conventional assumptions.

150 partner institutions in 50 countries 🌍 On this World , ESCP reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international collaboration and expanding partnerships across regions shaping the future of global education and leadership.

At ESCP, international collaboration is embedded in our identity. With our campuses across Europe and a global network of more than 150 partner institutions across 50 countries, ESCP helps students and faculty connect across cultures, exchange ideas and develop the perspectives needed to lead responsibly in an interconnected world.

In this new feature, Marina Lecomte, Director of International Relations & Partnerships, shares how ESCP is strengthening its international reach through carefully selected academic partnerships built on trust, quality and long-term value.

💬 “What matters is not just having a partner, but building a relationship that creates real value for the School, for students and for the institution on the other side.”

Rather than focusing on scale alone, ESCP prioritises meaningful collaborations with leading institutions that create real academic and cultural impact for students, faculty and partner schools alike.

These partnerships support exchange semesters, dual degrees, research collaboration and broader institutional visibility around the world. They also strengthen ESCP’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by exposing students to different academic environments, leadership approaches and global business realities.

Marina Lecomte also highlights how student demand is evolving alongside geopolitical and cultural shifts:

From ESCP’s long-standing connections with Latin America to growing partnerships across Asia — including China, Indonesia and Malaysia — the School continues to adapt its network to emerging opportunities and student aspirations. Looking ahead, ESCP also aims to strengthen its presence across Africa as part of its broader international development strategy.

As part of the Bold & United strategy, ESCP continues to deepen ties with leading institutions worldwide while expanding its international presence in regions that will shape the future of global education and leadership.

“Marketing is not just a technical discipline. It is deeply cultural.” 💬

At ESCP in London, we celebrated Prof. Dr. Chloe Preece’s inaugural lecture, Marketing Beyond Metrics, marking her appointment to the highest academic rank and recognising her exceptional contribution to marketing scholarship.

The evening brought together faculty, academic collaborators, students, friends, and colleagues to reflect on Prof. Preece’s remarkable career and her pioneering work at the intersection of creativity, culture, arts, and value creation.

Opening remarks from our Dean of Faculty Prof. Pramuan Bunkanwanicha, and Prof. Marie Taillard, Dean of ESCP’s London Campus, highlighted Prof. Preece’s unique ability to push marketing beyond transactional frameworks and into broader conversations around interpretation, care, creativity, and human experience.

Throughout the lecture, Prof. Preece immersed the audience in a journey through the ideas that have shaped her research over the years. Drawing on examples ranging from nostalgia and branding to art forgeries, immersive technologies, and virtual futures, she explored how meaning is created through feeling, interpretation, and shared cultural understanding.

Her lecture challenged audiences to rethink authenticity and value creation, while emphasising the deeply human impact of creativity and emotional connection in marketing. It was a reminder that some of the most meaningful aspects of value cannot always be easily measured.

🔍 As Professor Preece reflected:

“My inaugural lecture took the form of a small ‘choose your own adventure,’ a reflection on creativity, culture, care, and the many paths that shape an academic journey. I feel incredibly fortunate to work at ESCP, an institution that has supported experimentation in both my teaching and research, while being surrounded by colleagues, friends, and family who have helped shape the journey along the way.”

👏 Congratulations to Professor Chloe Preece on this important milestone and for continuing to inspire more creative, reflective, and human-centred approaches to marketing.
