Are you committed?

Before becoming a mother I showed up for myself in a lot of irresponsible ways. I thought having a good time was barely getting any sleep and surpassing the number of drinks I had the last time.

I thought self care meant spending money (which I didn’t have much of because I was never taught how to be responsible with it).

And I thought my self worth was measured by the number of people who accepted me.

🌻Living abroad and becoming a mother changed all of that for me. I realized that the best times are the ones where I’m laughing and feel safe.

Self care is actually anything that allows your mind to feel at peace and take a break from the busyness that is life.

And like pouring ingredients in a measuring cup, you get to decide how much self worth you’re going to make for yourself.

Committing to yourself is much harder than committing to others, because you have to be honest with who you really want to be, and accept what that means. But in doing this, you will feel a sense of safety, of peace ✨.
