Invitation at the international festival of Fête de la cité paris, to preasent India by mythological paintings and art workshop 'Travel India by art' with other's 44 countries participation from all over the world. My journey to the route of multiculturalism has started many years ago. I discovered it through Shantiniketan , NIFT, and maison de l'Inde of Cité universitaire.
There is lot of say about cité universitaire, but « lot » is not enough. In short, Cité universitaire is a small world inside Paris, where artists, scientists and students from 44 countries live under the same sky.
Paris has given me a 2nd birth, and Cité universitaire is my birth place. There is nothing more honorable than to be invited as a guest at your birth place. 14th May 2022 will be such a day for me. I am invited at Deutsch de la Meurthe as a guest to present my mythological paintings exhibition and art workshop.
I have always been keen to present India from a different perspective. I wanted people to get acquainted with India through some unique style of art that different provinces of India can offer. Thus I will be presenting Patachitra from Bengal in this occasion.
End note: Andrey Honnorat established Cité universitaire with the Noble intention of gathering all nationalities around the world in one campus. He thought that if people from all cultures meet together, there might will be lesser war in this world. Cité universitaire was founded after the first world war. Obviously Second world war followed. Perhaps it is time to establish more Cité Universitaire around the world in order to make this world a better place.
