🎨 Hands-On Learning with a Montessori Touch 📚🎨

Recently conducted an engaging English session at partner preschool, inspired by the theme Asian continent where I took classic Indian story of the “Three Fish.”🐟🐠🐡. (Famous Panchatantra book series.)

This beloved tale, rich with life lessons about wisdom, adaptability, and teamwork, served as the perfect narrative to engage children in language learning while teaching moral values. 🌿📖

The story to life, we crafted a beautiful fish aquarium using a Montessori-inspired approach with rice art! 🌈🍚 I began with a lively storytelling segment, where I narrated the tale of the three fish that lived in a pond — one wise, one adaptable, and one who believed in fate. The children were captivated by the story's unfolding drama and learned new vocabulary words related to fish, water, seashell and action verbs.

I presented small aquariums using colored rice to represent water pebbles, seashell and fish. This activity not only engaged their fine motor skills but also reinforced new vocabulary (e.g., fish, pond, swim, safe, escape) and the sequence of events from the story.🖍️✨

“The Montessori-inspired approach allowed children to explore the sensory elements of the story, creating a multi-dimensional learning experience. The rice aquarium project encouraged them to connect language with visuals and textures, making the learning process enjoyable and memorable.”🌟

This session was a blend of language learning, moral storytelling, 🗨️📚 and creative exploration, helping children build foundational English skills while connecting to cultural stories and themes.
