Talking Shorts is looking for writers!

Talking Shorts 𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 who are particularly interested in the short film format. We publish reviews, interviews & articles and offer a fee for each text, corresponding with the length and workload of the written content. Full editorial guidelines are available on demand.

Our goal is to make shorts more visible and to create a wider discourse about the art form. We aim to speak to film lovers, film professionals, filmmakers and those curious to learn more about cinema, arts & culture in general.

ESP 2020 – Call for applications – Deadline extended | Esp Nisimasa European Short Pitch is an initiative aimed at promoting the European coproduction of short films. It combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency and a Coproduction Forum bringing together scriptwriters, directors and industry professionals from all over Europe.

We are happy to announce that that the submissions for Pitching Training 2020, organized by Shorts International Film Festival in collaboration with NISI MASA - European Network of Young Cinema and Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio / Italian Short Film Center are open! And the tutor for this online workshop on the 3rd and 4th of July will be held by Jerome Nunes!

Let's meet again next Wednesday at 3PM CET for #2: Going Viral, where we'll talk to Daniel Ebner from Vienna Shorts, Kirsten Ruber from Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen, Luce Grosjean from Miyu Distribution & Uli Wegenast from Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) about festivals that are now happening online.

It's happening! We are thrilled to announce the call for entries for European Short Pitch 2020! 🧡

European creative teams of directors, writers and producers are invited to apply to the programme that combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency and a Coproduction Forum for short film projects!

The first part of the event will take place in September 2020 in a European country, TBC. The Coproduction Forum will take place from the 12th till the 15th of November 2020 in Brest, Bretagne, France as part of the Festival Européen du Film Court de Brest.
