Yet this is precisely what we see on some farms practising intensive livestock farming, even though they receive European funding through the CAP.

Yesterday, the hard-hitting documentary investigating the links between the meat industry, lobbying and European institutions was screened at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris internationale universitaire de Paris. The screening was followed by a debate featuring Giulia Innocenzi (the director), Lorenzo Mineo, Djémila Boulasha, Joan Cortinas, moderated by the event organisers Aliénor Ballangé, 2025–2026 fellow at the Paris IAS ("Major Changes" chair with Sorbonne Université) and Bertrand Cosson at Université Paris Cité and Director of the Victor Lyon House at CIUP.

🥩Mangeriez-vous de la viande d’un cochon à 6 pattes ?

C’est pourtant ce que l’on observe dans certaines fermes pratiquant l’élevage intensif, alors même qu’elles bénéficient de financements européens via la PAC.

Hier, le documentaire Food for profit, qui enquête sur les liens entre industrie de la viande, lobbying et institutions européennes, a été projeté à la Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. Cette projection a été suivie d'un débat réunissant Giulia Innocenzi (la réalisatrice), Lorenzo Mineo, Djémila Boulasha, et Joan Cortinas, modérée par les organisateurs de l'événements, Aliénor Ballangé, chercheuse en résidence 2025-2026 à l'IEA de Paris (chaire "Changements majeurs" avec Sorbonne Université) et Bertrand Cosson, professeur à l'Université Paris Cité et directeur de la Maison Victor Lyon à la CIUP.

Un moment riche pour interroger nos systèmes alimentaires, les politiques publiques européennes et les enjeux de transition agricole.
