Join artist Aoife van Linden Tol on her sonic journey as Commander of EMMPOL V analog mission to the Moon. As Aoife and her five crew members enter the Moon simulation habitat at the Analog Astronaut Training Center in Poland we invite you to collaborate and create with us during their mission.
Taking recordings of daily sonic environments as a starting point, Aoife and her team will contemplate how the aural experience affects us psychologically, physically and how this differs from normal life.
Sounds and dialog recorded from within and without the habitat during the mission will be uploaded to the Feral Events Soundcloud under the 'A Journey Into Space Sound’ Soundcloud playlist. These sounds are released under a creative commons license and we invite music producers, sound designers, video artists, sound engineers, musicians of all kinds to use and create with them. This activity is about sharing the journey with the world in a sensorial way and inviting them to be inspired and create something as a response. Sounds uploaded between the 9-15th May will be played on Aoife's Journey Into Sound Radio Show 15th May 2021 6pm CEST.
A Journey Into Space Sound is part of a wider project, Outer Space Cultural Experiment Laboratory (OSCEL) created by ITACCUS member Feral Events.
