So we caught up on the last season of Grey’s Anatomy last week and now I’m in that weird place between itching to watch this season and catching up on one of my other abandoned shows 😫 Alex wants to *restart* Agents of Shield (um, nope!), but I’m feeling like I should wrap up House of Cards, just because ‘Kevin Spacey’. ⁠

The first thing I remember seeing him in was “Pay It Forward”, one of my absolute favourite movies. It’s probably the one thing on TV that’s left a mark on me (that, and Naruto! 🤓). Paying it forward is a massive part of who I am and what I believe in, and it’s something Alex and I do our best to live by.⁠

December 1 kicked off ; a global movement of generosity and doing good. It’s been a crap year and so many people are ending it in tough situations, and have no idea if/when they’ll bounce back.⁠

We wanna help out a little bit so this month we’re giving $100 - $1000 to individuals and families who can really do with a boost right now - and we need your help!⁠

We're Christy & Jonathan, co-founders of Writing Legends, an enterprise supporting social causes in small developing islands.⁠

In 2017 we had the crazy idea that we could bridge the gap between global development initiatives and young people in the Eastern Caribbean. Since then we've been on a crazy rollercoaster ride forging partnerships, learning and sharing experiences all over the world.⁠

In that time we've learned some hard lessons, shed many tears and a lot of the time just wanted to give up. But this mission means so much to us that even when we're frustrated and about to lose our minds we remember why we started and keep going.⁠

We're not who we were when we first set out on this journey. We've learned, we've grown and we've gained much more clarity on what we want to do (and NOT do!) and how we plan to achieve it.⁠

Our four (4) initiatives this year are:

1. 'I AM LEGEND' Kids Karaoke happening on the Children's Wards of the Victoria Hospital in St. Lucia and the Old Holberton Hospital in Antigua on November 27, 2018.

2. The social media storytelling contest opening on November 27, 2018.

3. 'Host An Event/Activity' where you, your friends, family or organisation can come together to organise your very own giving initiative during the campaign period November 27 to December 25, 2018.

4. 1000 Hands Give 10 fundraising drive based on the premise that if each person gives $10 we can meet a goal which can support our initiatives for 2018/2019.

The 2nd annual Good Deeds Day Global Conference was such fun! It was great to meet all these amazing people from all over the world and linking up with and Volunteer St. Lucia was definitely a win 🙌 Of course the Trinis had everyone dancing to their song!
