Registration for the EUDC in Novi Sad is open until Friday, and we'd love to send one or more teams! If you want to go, as a debater or as a judge, please leave a comment below - and don't forget to let us know if you already have a partner. If there's a lot of interest we will organize trials :)

For all your debating needs, there are two different workshops this week. Tonight, everyone is welcome at the Training session n04 - United Debaters of Paris with debaters from across Paris, and tomorrow we will be holding our Sciences Po Debate Training Session #3 as usual. See you then!

We have applied for recognition as an initiative étudiante, so that we can start booking rooms for our training sessions and get funding to send you to tournaments. However, we need 120 votes - so please vote for ENGLISH DEBATING SOCIETY before the 6th, through the link that you should have received today!

From one president to the next...

Tomorrow night we are meeting at 19:15 in room 900 at 9 rue de la Chaise!

Next week (subject to confirmation of a room) will be our last meeting this year! 😭

To celebrate the end of the year, we will be switching things up. The motion will be generated at random by pulling different elements out of a hat, and the entire debate will take place backwards. There will also be special rewards for teams which are able to sneak certain phrases and concepts into the debate.

This should hopefully be taking place next Wednesday evening at 19:15 at Sciences Po. We'll let you know when we hear back about a room. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Hello! The next two Mondays are public holidays, so Sciences Po is closed. Therefore, we're going to be running sessions on Tuesday evenings instead. We're on a mad one.

On May 12th and 13th debaters from across Europe will descend upon Paris for the Paris Open, which is organised by the United Debaters of Paris (UDP). These people need a place to sleep, so please consider giving up some floor space (that's all they need!) for a couple of nights to allow this great event to take place.
